  • "this is a holdup, not a botany lesson"

  • come on concorde!

  • Just came here to see the tricorn hats, never rated Monty Python, sorry.

  • @planetrockford So, you are also a fan of all those old-fashion freaky hats? There is no other hat as awesome as tricorn! And here, it's good to point out, how well Monty Pythons prepare their costumes.

However, not like you, I love Monty Python and this one is one of my favorites.

  • A brilliant parody of Flower Power!

  • This is the greatest sketch that will ever be written

  • The Larch...*click*

  • I bought some Lupins seeds for the spring and I just can't stop thinking about this skit. xD

  • is this really John Cleese riding? i didn't know he was that good...

  • Absolute genius

  • I love this so freaking much!! I mean, what the heck are those poor people going to do with all of those flowers?? Oh sweet buttery Jemima, those Pythons are all right!! I've said it before and I'll say it again; I've been a lover of all things Pythonesque since the day I was born. Not really but maybe, perhaps, since the first time I saw their sketches? Or one of their movies? Oh piss off, I don't really know how long! Geez! What's it matter anyway *walks away muttering angrily* hrm hrm murm.

  • Monty Python started in Dallas Texas PBS in 1973. It was almost immediately after their show was taken off English TV.

Shows in England rarely last more than three years with the only exception I know of being Dr. Who.

  • John Cleese is actually a pretty good horseman

  • This is bar none the funniest skit in all of Python

  • Those guys are geniuses. Never get tired of watching them.

I watched the DVD of "Not the Messiah" a couple of days ago, and it was wonderful - Too bad John wasn't in it.

I can remember when the PBS station in NYC first aired the Flying Circus. You youngins wouldn't believe the uproar it caused.

    Pythonism will never die.

  • @jamie1707 I remember that. I lived up state in the 80's and I used to stay up late on Sunday night's to watch it on PBS. That's when I first saw Dennis Moore! They are truly geniuses :)

  • @mydogfucksmyleg pbs & monty, ah memories. X-)

  • @jamie1707 he was

  • @Scapemass I;m looking at the DVD(6/8/2010), and I don't see John Cleese credited. Perhaps there is another issue?

  • @jamie1707 are you looking at life of brian or somthing else

  • They should of burnt the Robin Hood remake and swapped the film with this instead.

  • That's nothing like a willow...

  • Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore is not in this bit.

  • Deenis Moore Rhymestylez:

Stand and Deliver, Jack a fool, bones shiver

Lupin express, throw em up, hit the floor

sticky fingers, steal you botany and even more

while youre confused about the loot

im the main man, Dennis Moore

way high highwayman, I return to feed the poor.

  • I am being Dennis Moore this Halloween. =D

    Seriously.

  • Great idea. So tell us, how did it go?

  • It was awesome!! :D

Although, some of my friends weren't too sure who I was. I had a great time though, telling people to "stand and deliver!"

It really is too bad that I couldn't get a guy to follow me around with a stereo on his shoulder playing the Dennis Moore theme. :(

  • Sounds like fun. You have inspired me. Next time I wear a costume it will be a knight in armor with a rubber chicken.

  • Hahaha, that's brilliant!

Make sure you tell me how that goes. :P

  • thats what im doing next year!

  • @pixiestix44 Might be fun at the local Renisance Enacters event too! Heist their stage coach, Re-arange the contents of everybody's pockets, mix them up, load them back up and split.

  • @bigfootskitty And then shout from the trees, "You'll have to work together to get the contents of your pocket back!" followed by triumphant laughter!

  • Funny you should mention Obama, devil! I came out here looking for Dennis Moore clips because it reminded me of Obama's policies.

  • this whole skit is just like what obama is trying to do, but shown in a satirical way

  • yeah but in the real world when they do that no one has any money...

  • Every president has their own Monty Python Sketch: Reagan gets the Bicycle Repairman, Bush the first gets Scott of the Antarctic, Clinton gets the Dirty Vicar, Bush the second gets the Gumbys, and Obama gets Dennis Moore
