  • What aer the issues you had with a wood boat. Would it be better for me to go with fiberglass?

  • @musketman2008 I (Amy) say steel. Phil says wood. But there is a lot of prejudice against wooden boats out there.

  • She's bored? What a horrible waste.

I dare you to read all 432 pages of our book: World Voyagers the True Story of a Veterinarian, a Renaissance Man and Stewart the Cat. We spent ONE year of our lives at sea. Life is too short to ponder blue, blue, blue- punctuated by those crazy moments of who is out there trying to run you over!!!

  • A quick question. What do you think of your choice of a 42' boat? We are considering doing it ourselves in about 10 years, and I am starting to seriously look for a suitable boat. 36' too small. It will just by me and my wife. Thanks for the small candid glimpse into your world:)

  • We have met couples sailing around the world in boats from 26 feet to 50 feet. There are two things to factor in: how much stuff you want to bring and the motion of the boat. The larger the boat the more comfortable the motion (in my opinion). The down side to a larger boat is that it takes more muscle to handle. In the final analysis,I would not choose a boat larger that 45 feet.Handling the gear with just two people becomes a real chore. Good luck on your future adventures!

  • @worldvoyagers Thanks. we are almost done building an amphibious float plane...

  • @melektawus 36' is a good size.
