Wow, steminc1, that statement is probably one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read. I am a catholic, not muslim but I do have tons of muslim friends. I have read the Koran and no where does it once teach about hate or kill ANYONE. On the contrary the Koran pushes for peace and guess what the Koran also states not to judge. We all believe in the same God. They just have different prophets delivering the message. We have Jesus, they have Mohammed.

The job of a good leader is to reach out and try to use "serious diplomacy" like Edwards just said. Their job is to create peace not war. Refusing to talk to tyrants encourages them to continue to be tyrants. You can't make them more of a tyrant when you use good diplomacy and you might even make them less of one. Bush/McCain tactics encourage war.
