I know, hence the reason I love his accent :) He's from Glasgow, I think? Anyway, as mentioned in previous comments, the BBC apparently wanted to keep the English (different variations of) accent in Doctor Who, so David puts on an exceptionally good English accent :D x

In most other things, he sticks with his true accent e.g. Blackpool ♥

I love when the Doctor just shakes his head after Rose tries to get Queen Victoria to say "I am not amused" and Rose just smiles. You can also see him trying to fight back a smile just before the camera cuts. I'd say that's David Tennant trying not to smile, not the Doctor. lol
