stupid idea just look around parking lots you will see thousands of leaks one solution would be put a floor on that thing

People who have the money and space to have two Corvettes or two collector cars, fix leaky vehicles and would not park a leaky car over another car. These lifts have safety locks which secure the car on the lift if the hydraulics failed and the car on top would rest on the safety locks while stored so there is NO weight carried on the hydraulics for long periods of time. The hydraulics are only in use while lifting and lower the car.

Hmmm thats a very good point because obviously the daily driver will be the one thats below. Although stripped paint might be a very good and fast way to know something is wrong with brakes on the other car and thus might save ones life :)
