So, right there, we are not expecting him to have the racing skills of Jackie frickin' Stewart. Secondly, he has to follow the Lexus rep in the IS-F around the track, not drive it flat out like some teenager on acid. So he is kind of limited in how fast he can go. Third, it's his FIRST TIME driving the car! It's not like he is already familiar with it, or anything.

@Purepromedia SMG is bmw OLD transmission... single hydro-actuated clutch... new one is DCT. This is a single clutch I believe too but not called SMG.

@Kyu1LL There are no V10 DCT's apart from the one and only BMW E60 M5 2010 DCT in BMW's M headquarters. SMG isn't trade marked, it stands for sequential manual gearbox which is what this is. Single hydro-mechanical actuated clutch. DCT or DKG there all the same crap, Dual Clutch transmission. All made by the same company.

Well the new Lambo Aventador is DCT V10 and you got the M6 too but I'm sure you know about that since the engine is the same as the M5. Yeah, they're all the same. Even PDK... which is a million letters.... haha. All I know is MY dual clutch is made by Borg Warner.

@Kyu1LL Yes, even people reference F1 boxes as SMG's or sequential manual gearbox. AFAIK, BMW uses ZF auto boxes in nearly all of their mid-to high end cars. But the M3 uses a Getrag DCT. DCT is nice and all, but I still prefer the lurches of SMG, just feels more "mechanical" :)
