If this is a parody on what JJ Abrams is all about now having changed Trek to be more mainstream friendly then I have to disagree. Sure he did disappoint hardcore fans, but it was no way a total sellout of the series. If anything it carried on from what was done on the Enterprise series

Now this is not the case with the new Universe series. Its more like this trailer. So you might be regretting pointing the finger at Trek now that SGU seems even more mainstream and soldout than the last trek

@Erghest It held more promise in its premise. but the execution of its story arcs was lacking in the 1st season. its was very unambitious until season 2. unfortunately we will never see more of it to be sure how good it could of been.

@marcopolo3001 It's a real shame it got cancelled. Pretty much ALL sci fi shows are terrible in the first season(s). Even the best ones eg TNG, DS9, SG1. Now they never survive long enough to become greats (SGuniverse, Farscape, Firefly). Imagine if TNG got cancelled after season 2... universe was probably getting to be the best of the stargate series but it was made 10 years too late. [and voyager went for 7 seasons.. ha!]
