Final bell ring for the Star Ferry's old Central Pier

i heard the movement, bells and faces are in storage, they were supoosed to be placed in the clock of the new star ferry terminal.

But there is a new clock tower directly opposite the old clock tower at Piers 7 and 8. You can tell that the new clock tower has similar sounding bells to the old one.

Even so, the jingle still not as good as the old, made-in-UK one...

Maybe I'm just being old and nostalgic, eh?

why they taken it down for?

In Hong Kong, that's what called "progress"...under such principle, nothing old is deemed worthy to keep around.
