@nickybrown4 By standing behind the trap and reaching over to the door. Very rarely will they turn around after the get headed in one direction, but it is still something I am wary of and I am ready to move quickly if need be. :)
@Grimmloch This raccoonbootcamp character seems to be of these "raccoons have more rights than humans" types you occasionally encounter on the internet and elsewhere. I fully agree with what you did in getting rid of a problem animal, which is what raccoons are in a human area. If I saw a raccoon on my property I would gladly do the same thing.

It's good to see catch and release when, to a lot of people, euthanizing would just be easier. Kudos to you.

I had one at the edge of the front porch growling at me the other night. You wanna come get that one?

Adorable lil guy, glad to see catch and release in practice when it can be done safely.

@CelticSamoan I agree. The trick is to relocate it at let 20-30 miles away, so it won't come back.

@raccoonbootcamp Only of eggs, my friend. I was relocating him to a nice wilderness area from an attic he had taken up residence in. :)
At the time this was shot I was working for a licensed wildlife removal company. Good times.

He ain't happy in his cage, no. But I recon the w00t was in it's place. And the final "fuck you" growl was pretty awesome too.
