the operator shouldnt have lifted from the side and he didnt add water weight at almost 9 lbs per gallon it added more weight than the crane was set for but never lift from the side never never never,,, he should of had a barge ready so with half of the lift they could have pulled also,,,oops lol

It all depends on the weight and distance from the crane as to what you can pick. He also lifted the bus to fast. Holds all the water. and water is weight. Also on a Hydralic crane like that you can't "dump" the load. Once the crane is off kilter it's to late. Not all cranes have "scales" but do have load charts. They could have used the other crane as well. It's a little more entailed but you can do it. I wouldn't want to be the operator that had to make the call to that boss..
