Hope you other people can understand if You are smart enough to grasp the fact that the pleated filter traps more dust and pollen particles therefore trapping them to keep them from entering the air that is circulating through the house!!!! So keeps from getting in your lungs especially if you have asthma.
If your HVAC equipment has properly designed duct work then a properly sized pleated air filter will not restrict airflow. If after installing a pleated type air filter you notice a whistling sound coming from your system then we advise you call your local Licensed, Insured, and Bonded Heating and Air Conditioning professional to inspect your system for possible problems including poor duct design.
This shows me that the salt is like dust particles that are coming through the plain filter. The pleated seems to keep the dust out. Are you saying it's better to breath the air that's worse because there is more of it to breath....
you are wrong the see through air filter is better it does not restrict the air flow. restricted air flow well not let your A/c or Heat pump work properly and it well cost you more money in the long run at the electric meter. you are better off dusting your house more often with a vacuum cleaner it's a lot cheaper then a big electric Bill
@swiftles Couldn't agree more! There's systems where the ductwork is undersized and going with the blue filters is the only option, as static pressure is higher with the 1" pleated filters. Not to mention that they cycle on limit switch with the pleated. Too bad Cool Max can't grasp this information. Maybe spend more time in technical seminars than making videos.
