I don't know how many people agree with me here, but I believe Tim Burton is holding him back. I've never particularly enjoyed their movies together (excluding Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd). I love Johnny, but his parts from Tim Burton are intentionally offbeat and have too much forced meaning. I would much rather him break free from this and do more comedic/ dramatic roles as opposed to Tim's genre which seems to be over-used and getting old.
