@1joeyaustria It is not played on the regular tour. If you want it to be played anounce your visit to the museum and tell them which instruments in particular you will be coming for. they are likely to have somebody available to turn them on for you if they know about it in advance.
@silentbacchus There are many photoplayers in the US, but only a handful on public display. The few that I can think of on public display include: a model 20 American Fotoplayer in the Jancko "Our Backyard Museum" in Florida, which I think is open by appointment.
The Neilson Collection, currently open as the "American Treasure Tour" in Pennsylvania, has several photoplayers including Wurlitzer models D, O, and U, and Seeburg models S and R.
@silentbacchus The Operators Reproduco piano/organ, which can be considered a kind of photoplayer, can be seen and heard in several places including the Meredith Willson "Ya Gotta Know the Territory" exhibit at the Meredith Willson Museum, Mason City, Iowa. There is another Reproduco on display in the Causeyville General Store in Meridan, Mississippi, as well.
@silentbacchus There must be at least one or two photoplayers still in use in actual movie theatres in the US, but the only one I can think of is a Cremona actually in the Opera House in Virginia City, Montana, and is hand-played to accompany live dramatic productions.
There are several percussion instruments, manual operated... Funny, isn't it! The machine is located in Nationaal Museum van Speelklok tot Pierement, in Utrecht, Holland
Wow!!! never saw anything this wonderful
