Slow it way way way down...left hand, right hand. More soul. This is a simple song with the emphasis not on piano, but on voice. Think soulful, not stylized. Trust me...just try it.

I do play. I also paint (as in art). You might not think there would be any relationship between the two activities, but they are both creative processes that require time alone...working things out. You're well on your way and have talent. This song's very uniqueness comes from its slow tempo. Add to that an engaging (and slow/souful) vocal tone, and you have a compelling song. Don't stray. Example: search for Joe's Stone's version--all's well until 1:08 when his left hand starts to boggie. :-(
