Loved to eat them when I was still in China!! But Unfortunately, the Mantis Prawns here in the USA are not fresh and tastes very bad...

I think when I was growing up in the 1970s in HK, the mantis shrimp was not very popular.
I saw them in markets but not often in restaurants. They were considered not the best.
There is also a peacock mantis shrimp that is much more colorful, but I have never seen it for food.
