  • Some people are retards on here

  • I like how at the end the guy says " lets get outta here"!

  • @MabinogiSucksBalls WTF is a buggati vernon???? It's i Bugatti Veyron you dumb shit!!!!

  • lol i was trollin

  • buggati vernon does the 1/4 in 2.5 sec...

  • @MabinogiSucksBalls YOU ARE RETARDED. IT GETS TO 62 MILES PER HOUR IN 2.5 SECONDS.

  • @MabinogiSucksBalls The Bugatti Veyron CAN NOT do the 1/4 mile in 2.5secs. Get your facts straight before posting ridiculous comments. Standing 1/4-mile: 10.8 sec @ 140 mph is what the Veyron can do.

  • @MabinogiSucksBalls Im sure a lot of things seem different in your world with the purple sky...

  • This is just amazing. I'm 52 and I used to go to the drags when I was about 20, I had no idea things had gotten so ridiculously fast! Damn!

Study marketing 101 and you'll learn that almost no one ever advertises without conducting a marketing audit to determine what works and what doesn't. There are huge firms who do nothing but that work. You may never partake in products you've seen advertised on the internet, but believe me many of us have, me included.

  • thought this was a drag racing video?

  • Holy shit, I'm sick of people complaining about the ads. Yes, I know they're annoying, but ads like these are what keep YouTube and Facebook free. You'd be paying to use YouTube is companies were paying websites like these to display their ads.

  • Cool, tho i wish Big Daddy were still racing actively: youtube.com/watch?v=Kb639v9kqdY

  • Incredible video! These machines go so incredibly fast in such a short time. It's hard to get a feel for this unless you are there. The speed is difficult to see from the video due to panning but you can get some sense of the speed by listening to how quickly the roar of the engines fades into the distance.

  • 37 people cant clear their own fly without assistance.

  • l0l random guy in the audience at the end of the video says lets get out of here hahaha

  • theres only enough room for the driver and his balls.

  • before i die. or more like when im ready 2 my only wish is 2 drive something nitro. pure awesome!!!

  • Man I love the NHRA :)

I've been to Pomona about 5 times and I never get tired of it. I wish I could go more often

  • @andyspizzaplanet Hey bud, gotta disagree, the clutch timers are programmed for 1-1 lockup at 3.2-3.4 seconds into the run. Listen to any in-car...you can hear it for yourself. These engines are putting out a lot more power, thanks to 'super' superchargers, gigantic 100GPM fuel pumps, higher flowing cylinder heads and improvements in camshaft/valvetrain design that allows a blown nitro engine to routinely turn 8500 RPM, unheard of not too many years ago.

  • this is so american its untrue

  • 36 person are hippie

  • rolling thunder :O

  • Any rice burners want any of this? Anybody? No? Didn't think so...

  • PEOPLE IF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE ONE OF THESE THINGS IN PERSON YOU ARE MISSING OUT TV, VIDEO DOES IT NO JUSTICE!!!

  • Only in America, with American engines, and American built cars will anyone see these speeds. These cars cao do the 1000 foot & quarter faster than most super cars can do 0 to 60, and passing a Veyrons' top speed when they reach 600 feet from a stop.

  • @Topfueltrooper

Wow, stupid post of the day or what ... A Veyron doesn't produce 8000 HP, and it can also turn considerably better than your average rail. Plus it's street legal. You can't compare a Fueler to a Veyron. Hell you can't compare a Fueler to ANYTHING. Those things are the fastest accelerating cars on the planet, because that's all they are built for ... Comparing a Fueler to a Veyron is like comparing a helicopter to a heat seeking missile. Two completely different things.

  • @AtomicMutant you really have one-track mind dont you and cant understand my comment. I feel bad for people like you which are born with a single digit IQ level. i always wonder how such low powered brains are able to keep your body functions in order.

  • @Topfueltrooper

(Y)ou really have one-track mind (don't) you(,) and (can't) understand my comment. I feel bad for people like you(,) (who) are born with a single digit IQ. ('level' deleted) (I) (have) always wonder(ed) how such low powered brains are able to keep ('your' deleted) body functions in order.

I'm actually amazed that you got 'your' correct, although I think it was a fluke. Luckily you didn't need to use an apostrophe. I won't say anything about the run-on sentences though ... D-

  • @Aussiesbest94

Schumacher's 4.42 pass was on 85% nitro, in a car that was about 200 pounds lighter than they are now. Obviously, in the last 5 years, they've found a BUNCH more horsepower. For what it's worth, had Schumacher's 1000' 327MPH pass run out to 1320 feet, assuming the rev limiter didn't shut it down, you'd be looking at speeds in the 340-345 range.

  • @TheRevII its not the horsepower mate. they got plenty. if they could apply all 8000 to the ground without tire spin etc they would be going 0. lol. its clutch. clutch guy makes a larger paycheck compared to others

  • so whats the comes outta a engine when it blows up.... fireworks

  • FUCK THE NHRA...BRING BACK THE QUARTER MILE.

  • ABP...............No more adds......Duhh!!

  • If your sick of the adds down the adblock plugin it blocks all ads on youtube

  • @5191keith Del Worsham’s Al-Anabi Racing dragster recorded the quickest run in NHRA history, 3.735 at 323.81 today and his 3.760 from yesterday was good for a 1% backup for a new record ! BTW he lost on that run to a holeshot by Spencer Massey's 3.770 at 323.12 !

  • i drive one of these when i gotta get to walmart in a hurry..

  • @AntiSemantic

I'm aware of Schumacher's Friday night starting-line leak; he should have been shut off. My intention was to explain the significance of the run, not the validity of the championship itself. As for Tony himself, he obeyed his crew chief, which is exactly what he was supposed to do.

  • And Schumacher put it right in the box, snatching the $500,000 championship from an unbelieving Doug Kallita by TWO POINTS. And that's why it's called THE RUN.

  • @TheRevII Yea, after NHRA made SURE he would win! That will always be a stolen Championship!

  • It gets more interesting. The run had to be quicker than the current 4.43 record...yet not TOO quick, or it wouldn't be within the 1 percent required. Therefore the 'window of opportunity' was infinitely small; the run had to be within 4.42 and 4.429...less than 1/100 of a second, and we're talking an 8000HP top fuel dragster...

  • Records require two runs (at the same race), one to back up the other, and they must be within 1 percent of one another. Before this run, the record was 4.43. Schumacher had the 4.46 backup run in the bank from Friday night qualifying. He needed a pass within 1 percent to capture the record.

  • For you guys asking about the significance, Tony Schumacher was 38 points behind Doug Kalitta going into the final round at the final race of the year. Round wins earn 20 points and the only way Schu could win the championship was to win the race and set the national ET record at the same time, which also earns 20 points.

  • @franknblunt. This may not have been the greatest run ever but the significance was that he had broken the nhra record speed at the time. I believe, im not positive, prior to this 327 mph run the record was 325 or under i think. I remember watching this race.

  • Thumbs up if you have ad blocker and you never see those ads

  • 327 fucking mph ! HOLY FUCKING SHIT !!

  • @freezysworld Kms bro not miles

  • @Ahmedmagdi mph dick...this is america

  • @suthrnboy01 so basically i call you brother ... and you answer me with the word DICK ?? and that ladies and gentlemen is called pathetic bad parenting =) .

  • Why does everyone complain about ads? Ever heard of Firefox with Adblock?

  • The sound from those engines...

  • thumb butt if your tired of comment 2 being a copy of comment 1

  • jet engines????

  • @TheMreverything10 Nitro burning 500 cubic inch Hemis.

  • GO ARMY!!!!!!

  • I mean...do the IDIOTS behind all the advertising in the world really think their ads work???? I ignore them automatically. They are totally irritation...I make a mental note NOT to buy anything where an ad is shoved in my face...Just pisses me off and Im not alone...the really strange part is that billions are spent and its virtually wasted money...

  • @kiiiro You're an idiot to think Ads are a waste of time online. You should learn stuff before you talk about what you don't know of.

  • @myhacker91

do they work on the principle of Subliminal Advertising?

because if not, I have never ever, not even once, looked at an online ad and said "I am going to give this person my money because of seeing this ad"

  • Comment removed

  • @MrVaddiReddy i made a private plugin for firefox to block youtube adds before videos and on videos and adds at top right hand corner :D

  • Comment removed

  • @kiiiro do you remember the name ?? it puts the name in your mind in such a way that when your shopping and don't have time to rally think about every little details of every product and what really is better , your' more likely to buy the most advertised product. then there is the peer pressure to buy what is deemed to be buy it's presence in certain venues . if it were waisted money it would not be done. and it's not a waste it employs hundreds of thousands of people very high living standard

  • @kiiiro download ad-block for firefox...

  • @kiiiro if your IQ was more than 70 then im sure you would realize how many people actually click on the adds and help create revenue for said companies

and wasted money??? they dont pay just to have the add on here, they pay google when people click on the add

say $1 for every 50 people that click on the add

    one last thing....L2iNT3RN3T

  • @kiiiro And the people said "Amen"

  • @kiiiro advertising people do more than you think.

when you drink a soda- they made the label

when you open your laptop- they designed the look

when you pass a chain storefront- they were the architects

when your favorite tv character eats cereal- they picked the cereal

when your shoe store supports breast cancer research- they negotiated the partnership

and the business section of your local paper? it came from a corporate press release.

    You can't boycott everything dude. . .

  • @kiiiro Ya no shit, I wonder if anyone on youtube has ever actually clicked on one of those ads before.

  • @kiiiro I agree with you! On videos like this I spend more time closing the advertising popups than watching the videos. I Don't even know what was advertised on the popup? It's just a waste of my time and the adveritsers money! I don't even remember any af the popups on any of the youtube videos come to think of it!!

  • @kiiiro yeah, but now you know of that brand... if you wanted to make your name famous you would do the same thing... advertising is not necessarily all about making a direct sale..

  • yep...the ads are making youtube almost not worth watching anymore...frickin advertising on everything, all the frickin time anymore....

  • What's significant about this making it the "greatest run"?

Usually, when referencing history, Garlits' run in 1975 is mentioned at the top since that was the standard for nearly seven years.

Although sub 4.5 & exceeding 325 while the other competitor nearly does the same is very noteworthy, good watching too. Probable worthy on those merits.

I have to remember that track lengths have recently changed so top end speeds will likely not be much of a concern as cars get reengineered for that.

  • @franknblunt 308 mph and 327 are quite a distance appart in a quarter mile

  • @fluffybeer77 Obviously, speeds differ by 19.48 mph or 6.314%, while ET's are 0.16 seconds apart or 3.546%. Of course, other factors go into the whole matter of drag racing. It's all about the time, really, since speed is only measured across the trap. I had asked what made this race the "Greatest ... of all time"?

Was it a particularly historic event? Since it was posted, 2006Nov13, other records have been set. As I indicated that was a very competitive race by both but what was distinctive?

  • And Doug Kallitta is at the top end when "Sarge' makes that run. Hasn't run the same since.

  • v tech kicked in yo/~!!! jkkkjkjkjk

  • MMMERRRICA !!!

  • Perty Cool, he he...

  • Too bad it is sponsored by the f#@$ing army.

  • ????

  • v8 's with orgasm.

  • is this a car? i have a jetta

  • สุดยอดครับทำใด้ไง

  • thumbs up for actual 1320 racing

  • if this doesnt make you say holy shit then you dont have a pulse

  • America

  • @nickrod666

    fuck yeah

  • 32 people drive a ricer

  • Perhaps drag racing could be tax exempt like churches and every car could just have an Army sticker on it and keep drag racing real, instead of having fireworks at the end. Who couldn't win with a bottomless pocked, that is just not drag racing. If the parts aren't borrowed and the advice from your neighbor in the pits then it is just bullshit.

  • ive seen faster than that i think the fastest i saw was 4.20 at 333

  • @justinroxxxohyeah

Unless I'm badly mistaken, you haven't seen that from a top fuel dragster in the 1/4. You may have seen a jet car do that, or you may have seen a top fuel car do that in the 1000' (that's what they race now), but I'm pretty sure that this still stands as the fastest 1/4 pass by a top fuel car.

  • @sneaky98gt idk i guess i could be mistaken but it was not a jet car those usually cant keep up with a top fuelers and there completely different and it was a few years ago before they put the 1000ft as the new distance

  • @justinroxxxohyeah columbus? like 5 years ago? I think shumacher did run 4.20 at 333

  • It better to watch it in person. Feel the power of the 8000 HP and the smell of mitromethane.

  • how can this vid have 30 dislikes? that was awesome!!!!!

  • 29 wussies dislike 8000 hp x2 racing...They must be the ones that drive a prius or smart car on the way to the soap box derby. What do they know about all the candles lit at a night race?

  • HOLD ON!!!!!! Let me rewind, I couln't see a godamn thing for the stupid fucking "Ad's By Google"

  • @Audiolaboratory maybe you would rather pay for youtube

  • @Audiolaboratory same thing happened to me

  • @Audiolaboratory Then get Ad Block Plus extension for Firefox.

  • @Audiolaboratory try firefox and ad block plus

  • @coldnapalmFJ Thanks man, I'll give that a try. I hate these damn ads.

  • @Audiolaboratory hahahaha thats funny, im fucking lmao, l did the shit too!!!

  • @Audiolaboratory lol...use firefox :-)

  • @Audiolaboratory adblocker

  • @Audiolaboratory adblocker bitch

  • @kirmy1 Thanks bitch

  • with that kind of acceleration do the pilots sometime pass out?

  • @quaxk I think the deceleration has caused more problems for drivers than the acceleration. Don Garlits and Joe Amato had detached retinas in their eyes, probably from their bodies being constantly jerked forward after pulling the chutes. That was back in the day, though. Ever notice how the drivers usually pack their own chutes?

  • @topfuel1429 wouldnt you pack your own chute?.....fuel pilots are the men of men in motorsport!

  • @topfuel1429 Kenny Bernstein has that too. He knew he had it and he risked his eyesight when he took over for Brandon after his accident a few years ago. Talk about balls, but the love of the game will make you do some questionable things.

  • i blinked and they were half way down the track had to watch it twice

  • thumbs up for that awesome add that popped up right at the end and blocked everything

  • @sackcheck ...what ad? you mean you aren't useing ad block?

  • @sackcheck ever heared of adblocker?

  • i wonder wut if i put a topfuel dragster in my 88 mustang wut would happen!!!! lmao

  • 327???? wow

  • Deaf people can hear a Top Fueler.

  • What happened?

  • @robseven7 He set a new record for the fastest pass of all time!!!

  • @bcbbcb1 Ahh ok, ta!

  • Dear Santa...

  • Godamn, still makes me wanna get up and cheer.

  • I HATE FUCKING ADDS!

  • I could've sworn the record 1/4 mile was 3.97 or something...? Maybe I'm thinking 4.97 years ago... Hell I dunno.

  • Did they back to the future?

  • simply just WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In 10 feet it's going 70mph, in 50 feet 123 mph. I don't know how they keep conscious. :-)

  • Awesome mate! That is very great to vid!!!

  • 327mph in just over 4 seconds! God, what I'd give to experience that just once. My bike runs 9.50's and that feels fast as hell to me,lol. Top fuel is a whole other world.

  • I remember I was in the pit at a top fuel event and everyone closed there ears except for me thinking I can handle it. Big mistake lol there is nothing like it!!!!!!!!!! Than the Evo X we were in seemed so slow we couldnt even hear the turbo lmao

  • yes that what im talking yay

  • I was there for that!

  • *when I went to see them in person*. damned iPod touch!

  • Great quality, sounds almost exactly when I top fuel in person.

  • ดีใจด้วยครับ

  • oh my god ahhhh

  • 327 mph !! HEMI-Joe

  • Chuck Norris could beat them..In a stock Pinto

  • @blacmetal12 He would if he wasn't dead along with his career.

  • @jdog942 You know that Chuck Norris is still alive right?

  • @Redfnag258 chuck norris is dead in fiction thanks to Bruce Lee, and chuck norri's career is dead in real life. I call that a double phycological kill.

  • @blacmetal12 Psshh. Screw the engine, Chuck would beat them Flintstones style!

  • What about My Ford LTD 400 M I could pull up next to a car going 80 mph & wave by & they would see My tail lights vanish & what about My Chevy Nova with a straight 6 I pulled out of the gas station trying to catch a Truck with In 1/4 mile speed meter pegged out I thought there was something wrong with It until I slowed down. What about the Truck I have now claimed one million Horse power Sheriff dep bough Mustangs & OHP Haybuses In hope to catch It but I do Not drive fast 55 to 68 mph

  • im so happy i cmae across this this was the last race my fater got to see with me and him together it was awesome i will be there again this year for damn sure wouldnt miss the smell of nitro for anything.... go zizzo

  • too bad the NHRA knee jerked it after Scott Kalitta's death and went to 1,000 feet....get them back to 1/4 mile! Most of the tracks can handle it...Englishtown had no business hosting Top Fuel/Funny Car events...terribly short sand pit at the end, and a WALL at the end (at the time, it has been removed)....1,000 foot drag racing is lame

  • Love this video it says it all! Awesome TF action

  • What was so special peps ask.....The special was Both cars made the Quarter full pedal down and under 5 seconds...Hence why this is the Greatest pass of all time!! GET IT!!!

  • @thecopenhagenmaster.....an average fast car goes about 0-60mph in 5 seconds....these muthafuckas just went 0-300+mph in less than 5 secs.....if thats not special to you......i dont know what is

  • Comment removed

  • @TheCopenhagenmaster

oh don't take the piss...i can tell, top fuel drag racing is something you've only seen on the tv. go to a NHRA National competition...see it live....listen to it live. its then you might get what dude is saying about "special" like the Hoover dam or a Sequoia tree ...you can look at pictures all day and it just doesn't translate u actually gotta be there...oh yeah smell it too i love the smell of top fuel in the morning...that nitro-methane smell..smells like victory!!!

  • @kooch555 i love Sequoia trees

  • @TheCopenhagenmaster If you can't figure it out on your own, your IQ is to low to every understand. Go search for barney videos or something.

  • 4.4 seconds LOLWTF.....

  • Why is this the Greatest?

  • Doug K was still faster

  • DUDE..............

  • this gives me a boner

  • pause at 0:08 the right side got a better start!

  • lol : 29 "lets get out of here"

  • wow...

  • WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. done.

  • Thumbs up if you remember this run and got gooses bumps from it

  • looks like an 1/8 mile to me, just sayin

  • @mattmassacer its a 1/4 mile

  • @mattmassacer 300+mph in an 1/8 dont think so

  • NITRO METHANE DUMB ASS!

  • boring.

  • 328 mph on right lane ran a 4:42 in a 1/4 mile

  • these cars are a real testament to the engineering skill of mankind, i mean 0- god knows in 5 seconds. anyone know what speeds they were going?

  • @scott1506 see the big boards at the end of the track with yellow numbers that come up?? thats the times and speeds, what did u think it was?

  • Comment removed

  • @MashUpHardstyle its not nitrous oxide its nitromethane really big difference
