@giovannibrunoro Because everyone else just teaches the full chords. "Play F#, A, E and that's the verse" if you think that's ok when it comes to Floyd, you are unfortunately mistaken. His playing is all about the little things which these videos show very well and no one else shows these things on youtube.
I do believe so, but this is not your work. I know you remade the song, but it's clearly Pink Floyd's. If you write your own music, then yes you should be paid. And if this is your main job, then I wish you luck, but I'm certainly not going to pay for it. I would rather just listen by ear and use free tabs.
@GuitarInstructor Hi I was doing your full lesson on time but they took it off because of a copyright issue with Hal Leonard, if i buy the DVD from them is that you that will be giving the lessons? thanks
Unfortunately, in the world of "free" information, you're dealing with a whole generation who now feel entitled to steal other artists work without any thought of payment or acknowledgment. Not much you can do, except to hope people will be kind enough to pay the very reasonable price you are asking for. Those that can't even fathom paying a whole 2 bucks for a good accurate lesson are showing what d-bags they are...
@GuitarInstructor maybe people will start paying if you upload really really hard lessons that no one has taught yet., it seems like everything you offer is already all over the internet for free...
@pancakekiller91 $2 si really alot of money... you'd have to pay a guitar teacher for private lessons... With that being said, I agree. I wouldn't pay $2 for thie either, especially, as giovannibrunoro states, there are others on YouTube who teach it for free.
It's a Fender Strat. I believe it's an American Standard, but I'd have to check with Doug (Boduch, the instructor). If it's any help, my '99 American Standard Strat was about $700 new.
I'd be glad if you did. That particular strat looks and sounds amazing. I doubt that it's an american standard though. The neck in standards is faded, the one in the video is very 'yellow' so to speak. The lesson looks amazing, will buy all of pink floyd lessons one day.
Royalties are due the artists and publishers because the music is their intellectual property. It's copyright law, and guitar tab is protected under that law.
Sweet guitar :) Can somebody help me out with this: I have a Fender Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard. If I want maple, can I buy a neck with maple fingerboard with the Fender logo on? :) Thanks. Nice lesson
Joyster yes you can, check on ebay but they're at least $300 if your guitar is American...I have the same exact guitar this guy's playing, I love the sound of the American Strat...I personally like rosewood better but I wanna keep it original with the real serial number on it...my advice...get one, then sell yours for about the same price on ebay...so you come out even.
Thanks a lot mate, but I think I might keep the original one in case that I wanna sell my guitar some day with the original neck. Its a Classic Player, but im free to drill the screwholes my self, aint I? :)
I thought I found a goldmine when I visited this profile. I haven't seen a single video on here worth watching. Tab is barely legible and you get to hear maybe 8 bars. Pointless..
Just an all around great guitar sound !

Do you expect to be paid for work you do? Don't you think musicians should get paid for their work?

I think the better question is, do you expect people to go out of there way to pay for this when countless alternatives are available.

why are royalties DUE to artists for a guitar tab in the first place. Money is the reason music is where it is today...
1973fbodyz 2 years ago
Royalties are due the artists and publishers because the music is their intellectual property. It's copyright law, and guitar tab is protected under that law.
GuitarInstructor 2 years ago
its a great idea but the site is stupid, you have to pay a buck for everything even tabs which you can get for free on several different sites
pancakekiller91 2 years ago
Yes, you can get free tabs elsewhere, but ours are note-accurate AND we actually pay the royalties due to the artists and publishers.
