I just play them as a four stroke roll (if you know what that is). I sort of pretend that there's not any space in between them--the timing window in RB2 allows you to do this! Hopefully this helps some!
If you pause the video at 0:37 you can see the blue square and orange bar breaking. Also, when I hit the green at the end of the fill my score goes up by 400 each time.
The "0" stands for how many fill sections you skip before activating Overdrive. The "BO" represent the blue pad and the bass pedal (orange bar). Those are the notes you'll hit directly after hitting the green cymbal note at the end of the fill sections, in this song at least.
any tips on hitting the 32'nds? thats the only thing thats the thing thats keeping me from a GS or FC lol
