Apparently half of the posters below either weren't listening to music yet or simply were in an idiot-coma during the band's last three albums because this shit (along with everything else from Red Star EP) sounds EXACTLY like their entire track catalog. Perhaps those high school memories became post-college cubicle miseries and this sort of stuff doesn't appeal anymore. Either way, it isn't bad musically and what I would expect from 3EB. We need a resurgence of 90's alternative anyway.

This song's lyrics are an abomination. I am a fan of Third Eye Blind, but once Kevin Cadogan left, this band took a turn for the worse. Also, they had nowhere to go but down after their first album, which I love. Anyways, these lyrics are far from genius. They are embarrassingly obvious, surface-level attempts at social commentary. I don't think I've ever read less insightful lyrics. And Mission Accomplished? This is 2009. I guess it takes 6 years to write a song as powerful as this one.

man, it's not worth listening to songs if you don't understand the lyrics. i still think the song lacks a purpose, he jumps from point to point without making much of a statement and the entire song is not something i'd be able to take seriously anyways, and the chorus is just a big let down lyrically as well as musically. ):
