He played a great king - handsome, highly strung like most kings would have been. I didnt watch the nude scenes, but the whole set was beautifully re-created and Henry's wardrobe was to die for...better than anything a woman could want, yes.
Henry the 8th is remembered for his insanity, obesity, and jousting injuries. Hahaha! This is what generations to come will learn about "Haywire Henry!"

The great amounts of sex in this show, was one of the things that turned me off so much about the Tudors. Most of these actors, I already know of. I've seen them in other works, I've really enjoyed their performances, and just to see them plowing in to some flat chested, flabby woman......it's not a comfortable sight. I KNOW that the king and his men got alot of ass. I know this. But must I sit and witness Henry creating EVERY child of his?

This sexy, fascinating, visually GORGEOUS series is available on Netflix - two seasons are available instantly online and the other two need to be rented. It is SO worth the time. Out of all of henry's wives I think that Henry only truly loved 2. The first 2 Katherine and Anne. and these are the 2 women that he did the worst by. Katherine I believe was a good woman and Henry respected her as the mother of his child and as a good companion and friend. But it was Anne who he was in love with. for a man to do what he did and wait so damn long just so he could be with her. You have to be truly in love with that person. especially since he was king and could have anyone.

Katherine did not live in France and Spain most of their married life. Once she left Spain to marry Henry's brother, Arthur, she never went back. She lived in England until the day she died. I agree with you on the JRM hotness though. LOL

Actually she didn't, she was never allowed to take Mary out of England, because she would have been too strong a pawn for the Spanish Emperor to use. It was a very strong and loving marriage, even Henry admitted this. After visiting Hampton Court in January, there is a whole area dedicated just to Henry and Catherine.

He forced himself to soften it when he started acting - made it more British rather then Irish for roles in movies and such. I think he did it around the same time he gained a crap load of muscle. To break the stereotypical roles and such, you know?
