I seen all three fight between Williams and Bolanos live, I was just ten years old for the first one in 1946. I also seen him live in most of his fights in L.A, And I agree with those who say, that if not for Williams, Enrique would had been a champion. Circa 1965 Enrique helped me train my two sons, Frankie and Tony Baltazar at the Teamsters Gym in downtown L.A.
Both of these are so good, it's like a boxing lesson. Ike was sure scary; but Bolanos had what I consider perfect boxing form. He was a beatiful stylist...and man did he have guts, trading shots with Ike Williams. This is great stuff.
Ike Williams' style reminds me a little of Joe Louis and Enrique Bolanos' reminds me of Willie Pep. Great fight. Thanks for posting
