Bless you and your parents! Someone here in St. Lucie County Florida had a black and white '58 convertible, not sure what model it was though. Such gorgeous cars!!
There may also be a few of those left in Cuba which imported American made cars until 1961 as the last cars that were sent there were from the 1960 model year.
What an era! Everything was futuristic, rocket-age, right at the dawn of the space age. Nice example of a big old piece of, uhm, rolling artwork. Just kidding a little bit there....heh heh...Truth is, cars of that era were very visually appealing, with swooping fins, sculpted dashboards, interesting fixtures. Gave the driver a special feeling just to sit in it, bask in the chrome decor, and feel the ambiance of its automotive soul.
Great looking Montclair. I must own a very rare car, I've got a 58 up on blocks, it has a new paint job and only 85 thousand miles on the original engine. It's 99% original. Have started it and it literally purrs like a kitten. I bought it off my brother and when he started it for me I walked up on it and didn't even know it was running. I'll have to post video and pictures of my own.
I saw this at Brightona in 2010, a lovely car and a credit to your parents.

@kickinbackinOC
That was the norm until the 1961 model year when the designers of American cars began to chip away at all of that Jet-Age gingerbread.
