At your age you should seek the consultation of your doctor. There could be medical conditions that are cause such heavy periods. In addition birth control pills are very effective for cycle control. Good luck!

@kendra40ify Then I would definately give this a try hun. I had it done on Monday (Dec. 20, 2010). I came straight home and slept for the rest of the day and night (due mainly because of the meds) and actually had to take one extra day to recover (usually your back on your feet the next day, but I suffer from chronic pain as well so it took me two days). I was in your position with tripling up on the tampons so I totally know what you're going through. Give it a try sweetie & hang in there <3
All procedures have risks. This is an alternative to hysterectomy. There are 10-20% of women who have a novasure which will still need a hysterectomy. It does mean that many women will avoid major surgery and have a better quality of life after this procedure. Sorry, that it does not sound like it worked for you. I wish you luck in recovery and finding a solution for your medical issues. Best Dr. K
All women beware of this procedure because it can cause more problems than what it is worth and Novasure doesn't tell you about the risks of eblation therapy. I am worse now than I was before this surgery and have to use HRT to stop bleeding.
