WMG owes me money for royalties but have not bothered to reply to my requests to check; no statements, no royalties or PRS, and the guy in charge is never in - so does work there and why? is it only to disable content as rare and important as this?
i keep hearing this Lennon bloke was a musical genius, but he was not as much a genius as the look dark haired freaky fella playing along with him in this video. a guy by the name of 'Zappa' i believe......
they were a team, she was a master communicator, he a master melodist, the song was of rejection and abandonment, she did pain her way, john did it his, primal scream therapy taught them that spontaneous howling was the most honest sound a human can make, they both sought honesty and simplicity in their work, raw over polished, pain made into melody is to compromise it to please others, she was over peoples heads 'then' and over peoples heads NOW! well done Yoko,x
Yeah, it takes a rare talent who can just scream during a song. Give me a break. She ruined other Lennon performances in the 70s such as some Mike Douglas shows and others (Toronto). But she somehow convinced John at that time, that her screeching was "art". Please! Gimme some truth.
I'm no expert (no one is) I'm just a fan who's read a lot about the Beatles/John and just trying to make sense of it, everything the postbeatlelennon is remembered for was yokos ideas Bagism, bed-ins etc. it's true JL was a bit impulsive but I reckon they both knew what they were doing, I don't care for the howling either but respect their track record enough to look into why and not just play safe with the old 'f*ck yoko' line, (with respect) I'm suprised at a lennon fan not getting it
@STEPASAUR they were having a laugh at the World too....They both thought that things were just a little too serious with anything the Boys did. He wanted to bring the Truth into the equation. show the Warts and all. But no one would have it and dismissed him as cracking up. He was a Man of Truth with many faults. But don't we all have those...All I can say is get the message and carry on.
I wonder what John said to her after the song "Love your singing is terrible! I love you and all but you can't sing on stage with me anymore...I need a BC..." Cause she didn't sing with him anymore after that did she? If she did she shouldn't have!
