Try 40,000 + injured; countless more suffering mental trauma. 150,000 Iraqis dead, 1.5 who have fled the country. These are the facts that make this war a large-scale trajedy. Within the arena of war, 3,000 deaths, while awful for every family who has had to endure them, is not a compelling statistic.
