He brings up the Cold War and how Kennedy was able to use diplomacy to avoid a disaster. However, that was such an incredibly dangerous situation, one that I'm sure no one would want to repeat. In that case we were able to use diplomacy then, but what if it gets to a point where a country has all these weapons and the diplomacy doesn't work?

In order to go to war for anything and with anyone he requires a Declaration of War by Congress, which Congress would grant through the will of the American people. He's not a pacifist he just using common sense. War is costly and if you are going to engage in it you must identify the enemy, commit to fight them and win. In other words don't go to war carelessly. We have not declared a war since WWII, which was justified.

@WestCoastBoarder78 actually as a canadian, our economy does better with a weaker dollar than the americans. since the dollar rate is dependant on an import/export ratio, we try to keep our dollar lower so that americans can afford our products (since we are right beside each other, we trade the most of all nations considering canadian national resources)... sadly your dollar is setting us back too since you keep having to give it less value
