Mac can be bought starting at 1,200$ PC's can start at 500$ and up. I am a Mac user, but It does not matter what you buy. I have worked with both, and depending on your Screen size they are both the same. The only thing I really do not like about buying a new mac is you get A lot of extras you don't need. It's the Adobe Programs that will cost you, but if you have a friend borrow the program and upload them. =] Good luck
