Once established, and also by using a remote sump and refugium the tank really takes care of itself. The additonal of a refugium to a captive reef system is one of the best ways to increase success, improve water quality and reduce maintenance.
The BiColor, and most Dwarf Angels are fine if well fed and the diet incudes mysis shrimp.,other small crustasceans and good green algae sheets, etc.. this will usually keep their interest form corals.(This is my experience only and dwarf angels are definitely in the proceed with caution category)
@thefishadict just to add for those thinking of getting one... in my experience bicolours will leave soft corals alone but pick at and kill sps (but not so much montis).
Man i love your tank!Is there any way you can upload a new video so i could see how the tank is doing.Were can i get one of this tanks for a good price.This tank has to be my faverite on youtube.Love it 5 stars well done!!!Please update!Happy Reefing.
Is that "neon green" GSP? My GSP only extends about 1/8th of that... and is much more like a mat covering as opposed to the long swaying strands... and it isn't that color at all - more of an aqua neon green.
@Reimster1 Hey I just bought the same exact tank as you (4feetlongx2ft deepx28in tall) and im upgrading from my 60 gallon.. did it really need 6 weeks? im thinking im only going to take 2 and a half weeks. wouldnt that be good enough?

1. How often do you do water changes?
2.should I get Diamond goby to clean sand, what do you think?
3. I got one mp40w, for my 75 gal, should I get second one?
neznauGde 1 month ago
@neznauGde
Water changes are Bi-Weekly at 10%
Diamon (Sleeper) Gobies are always a good addition to a reef system. Be sure to have a sufficient san depth as they like to bury themselves..
1 wavemaker should be sufficient in your 75.. 2 may be to much current.

Mushrooms and GSP went crazy what are you dosing?
WCorbin182 2 months ago
@WCorbin182
Absolutely nothing but occasional Magnesium and Calcium, also KH buffer.
Filter feeding Corals are fed only occasionallly. 75 Gallon Basement Sump/Refugium helps with available microfauna. tigger pods, etc.

This baby must take a ton of work, bit it is beautiful none the less, great work on that masterpiece.

jarederajarederaj 3 months ago
@jarederajarederaj
I typically take fully natural approcahes to cycling aquariums... I do not add any boosters or anything.
Just cured live rock and a few hardy fish. waiting 4-y6 weeks quarantees system stability and less chance of any toxic ammonia/nitrite spikes.
Reimster1 3 months ago
dude thats so cool! you should get some tiny schooling fish, that would make it look so much cooler
