OMFGOOOD!! NIGHT OF THE HUNTER WAS SO AAWESOME!! im in my 40's & Robert Mitchum, scared & creeped me the FUCK OOUUT!! this movie shouldve been MUCH higher on the list, tho i am grateful its there period..
maan, how the hell could she say, Jurassic Park, made her think that humans, could co-exist w/Dinosaurs, when they had everybody summoning beetlejuice?! WHAT?? even on a deserted island, those mu fuckers wouldve multiplied our asses out of existence, smh lord have mercy. anywho, LOOOVE this countdown. i try 2 catch it every yr in Oct.,repeat & all.
child's play should of been number 1 or 10 cause it is so original and the story was great not to mention being Directed by the Director of Fright Night Mr Tom Holland and the effects us on this movie i nearly shit my self the first time ever i saw this movie i give it a 10 out of 10 Really great movie if you guys haven't seen it then what the hell are waiting for.
Jurassic Park is a brilliant movie, one of my favorites. It also is really scary. Being trapped on an island with no power that's dominated by dinosaurs, but that's why we love it!
I'm a 90's kid. I saw Child's Play when I was 5. Then they made me go downstairs by myself to the kitchen later that day. I turned all of my dolls away from my bed&threw them in my closet. Child's Play scarred me&my friends as a kid. #nevergetsold.
If this has help you find some new scary shit to go watch thumbs up.not that I need a thumbs up but this show has put me on to some shit.to hard to get into the crap they put out now
A lot of you guys are talking about Child's Play and Jurassic Park not being scary or Jurassic Park not even being a horror. They're on the list because their story concepts scare people.
jurassic park had two parts that a scary to me number one, the first look at the t-rex when it slams down on the top of the car and the class is blocking the way to get to the kids, number two is the dino that spits tar or posion at the newman guy in the jeep that was scary because you never see that damn thing get in the fuckin jeep. number three the bad ass hunter is about to kill the raptor and then there are three or two i forget how many there are and you get that last famous line
@Zooroonies this is a countdown for the 100 scariest movie MOMENTS, and the scene where the children are trying to run and hide from the raptors is terrifying
how is it not scary? this is mind-boggling to me...dinosaurs capable of tearing a human to shreds is terrifying and the fact that they are after young children makes it even scarier.
Jurassic Park made my childhood...It came out 3 years before I was born, but when I saw that film at the age of 1, my life was changed. By 18 months, I could say,"I want to be a paleontologist". Dinosaurs are so cool, and that movie is so perfect.
Jurassic Park...i was four when it came out and i even then remember begging my parents to rent it...i had dreams of dinosaurs eating me for months after that
Jurassic Park is one of many movies that literally made my childhood. I was 13 years old when my parents took me to see it on opening day back in the summer of 1993, and it truly was a life changing experience for me. The very next day we all headed out for DisneyWorld for our summer vacation and as we boarded the plane i imagined that we were all headed for some secret island theme park full of ferocious dinosaurs just waiting for us to arrive so they could gobble us all up in an instant. lol.
I love how when they talked about Child's Play that they name dropped Talking Tina cause that thing scared the shit out of me, as well as Child's Play.
I remember seeing Jurassic Park when it first came out. I was 8 years old, and I was sooo into dinosaurs. I saw this movie ... scared me to death!! :))) ha ha I had nightmares for weeks. i never looked at my model dinosaurs the same again , lol
I remember wen i was bout 6 i was so Scared of Chucky. i would have nightmares and i only saw like 5 mins of the movie... im 15 and my mom still makes fun of me of how much i was scared of that stupid doll and it still creeps me out :/
The moment that scared the Hell out of me was from "When A Stranger Calls." THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE YOUR HOUSE! I've never seen the original or the remake but that scene made my heart pound out of my chest!!!!
@liamo89010 erm... i think your thinking of the compsognathus, which was about the size of a chicken. Velociraptors were a little less than hip-hight on a human. They did make them larger for the movie to make it more dramatic though. Or maybe the DNA got screwed up when they were being cloned. ;)
@Goldygirl16 back when they made the movie Dienonychus was considered a species of velociraptor. but after they made the movie it was considered it's own species again. they look just like the velocirators in the movie.
@ 0:45, they built a t-rex that had 350 horsepower? what? how does that work exactly? is he implying that the thing they made could actualy walk on its own? lol stand winston the bullshitter
After I watched Child's play, I put all my baby dolls in the closet and put a chair over the door...I'm serious, it scared me so bad....my brother use to creep me out by saying "Hey, I'm Chucky wanna play"...CREEPY, and just to think, something that small can be that terrifying!!
chucky flicks have their flaws, and a lot at that.
and even though the first two i actually like, the one problem i've always had with those movies was how despite his size, he somehow weighs enough to pin down a normal human being.
If a gun didn't him, if burning it didn't hurt, even if kicking didn't hurt...what makes you think stepping on it will hurt it? A gun shot to the heart stopped him.

Did anyone notice how most of the movies on this list have been remade?
Grrrr. I hate when crappy filmmakers remake great horror films just for some cash.

I'm right there with you. I just wish they could come up with an original horror film. Closest we've had is "Saw 1" and "Paranormal Activity".
