The Getaways are just a awesome game that Ive ever get to play. I always used to play this right after when my dad brought it for me in randomly since I love the cars too much.. LOL ITS JUST A MASTERPIECE 乃 I like it more than the Black Monday.

This was the first PS2 game i ever owned, we got it with the ps2. I was like 10 at the time and couldnt even beat the 1st level. when i finally did i got stuck on level 5 and sold the game.. Later on when i thought my skillz had bettered i bought the game again & finnished it, now i think it's still one of my best anf funnest games.

They got cut along side Jaguar and some Aston Martins pre launch. They were replaced With Rovers and Brabus i believe.

@JackBandicootsBunker Yea, ford is included tio an extent but as a unbadged transit model. Audi and Volkswagon also made an appearance. I think they were removed to issues arising over content, crash damage etc. I dont mind them putting the Rovers in, makes this game better to me. Just a shame certain models got cut.

@toyotasera55 I know the van looks like the Transit. But it seems that many manufacturers withdrew the cars from this game for the same reasons they didn't want crash physics on Gran Turismo years ago.

@JackBandicootsBunker It seems this is correct. As far as I am aware, it was to do with crashing. This is probably why for the car in the game, they damage fairly similar (same scratches, dents and knocks etc.)

The Getaway got better characters than the second but the second one is interesting and not hard really in my opinion also I still think since The Getaway was my first game for PS2 It tops Black Monday not sayin Black Monday is bad I think its awesome but I care more for the Getaway

i have this game right it looked clean to me it had a few glitches so i decided to go to king video the video store to get it buffed right so me and my dad drive down there afterwhile we get back i try out the game my sounds fucked up i hear popping sounds when i drive my car the peds talk fast i cant hear anything especially when i crash i hear a pop sound thats it and i hear this high pitched sound on my x-rocker or the chair with speakers

The initial game you could drive BMW's Jag's and Ford's. But then the clearance to use the cars finished 8 months before the game was released.
