the greatest modern day series of all time. Sometimes funny, often tragic, always real. Some scenes were almost like a Shakespearean play (stringer and avon), and others like the best western you’ve ever seen (this clip). Epic in every sense.
I love the shot at the beginning of Omar walking out from the smoke in his long black coat, whistling eerily in the night - he's like the angel of death
Omar knew that Brother wasn't gonna shoot him, because he would have been dead already, shot dead from an ally. Brother was waiting for him...That why he did all the posturing. A very cool scene.
Classic western style homage, but real life, folks don't talk with guns pointing at each other. At least where I'm from they don't. Only in tv land and movies folks do that.
The illest thing about this scene is Omar never stopped going for his gun....all the way up until he had it pointed at Mouzone. However, Mouzone had no intent on killing him. His gat was on safety the whole time.
@WaitsWeights Gonna have to agree for the most part...I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan, and all over the Breaking Bad videos are comments stating "This is the greatest show since the Wire!". I'm now almost done with the 3rd season of the wire and Omar Little vs Walter White for best character in a series? They're both uniquely different, so it's hard to compare the two.
Yeah, the Walthur is probably more accurate than the .45, considering how much recoil the .45 has with each shot, since it's a larger caliber gun, Omar would have to hold it with both hands to be able to keep his aim on Brother Mouzone if they actually had a shootout, and yeah...I wish Omar and Mouzone would of had more dialogue
Thanks for the up, this is one of my favorite scenes. I just wish the clip went on into the discussion between the two a bit further. I love the realism there, concerning how this showdown could play out. Gunplay-wise, I can't think of a more accurate description of what all could happen in a shootout between two as skilled as these. I understand the urge to end it with "Omar listenin'" though.
The Bowtie is all about crazy accuracy. To answer your .45 jamming question...that "problem" is extremely blown out of proportion. It made it's way into "Jackie Brown" even, in the same breath as "it has damn near the stopping power of a .45 (talking about a 9mm). Which is of course bullshit.
"The killer had a .45, THEY want a .45" - Samuel Jackson in "jackie Brown"
I have to agree there though, I'm all about a .45. The Bowtie is a gun nut though, I'm sure he has his reasons. That pistol has just served him better for all his picky-ass needs. That's the way I saw it , anyway. I loved him putting some ratshot in Cheese, then telling him what was now in the chamber. The weapons accuracy in this series is great.

the fact that Mouzone, with a punk ass .380, was willing to stand toe-to-toe with Omar toting a .45 is a testament to his skill

yea it does because it has alot of fire power for that size gun it takes alot of cleaning and matinance to be accurate
