  • Why the fuck was this video set to private im very disturbed.

  • hmmm why is marijuana even compared to tobacco? you can eat marijuana but who wants to eat tobacco... have you ever chewed tobacco gum? have you ever had a hash brownie? the brownie is yummy.

'I Love You, Alice B. Toklas'

    see Cannabis foods.

  • EVERY STUDY HAS SHOWN DRUGS TO BE A NEGATIVE FOR SOCIETY.

Legalizing drugs would FURTHER bring America down, but hey, this is what you sheep do best.

  • do some research before talking about something you know almost nothing about.

  • i'm guessing that u r a 24 year old virgin who has never smoked weed......your life sucks

  • Alcohol being the number 1 negative drug in society.

Good Grief your 29 years old and still buying into the government propaganda, they don't even believe it.

Speaking of sheep, your lost and lied to, sorry for being rude but please get your facts right.

  • Wow this has been posted 3 days ago, and its got allmost 50.000 views. Nice.

    LEGALIZE IT NOW!

  • Drug tests. How will this impact employers rights to discriminate applicants who test dirty?

  • "bring responsible marijuana consumers into the legal tax base." is the scariest thing i heard all day.

No more taxes!!!!!! End prohibition now please. This "financial crisis" has got you all begging for new taxes...."tax plants"..."tax CO2"....can you hear yourselves? Twilight freekin zone.

  • responsible means responsible...

  • tax pot + fines for those caught DUI = more taxes for the democrats to spend. plus Hemp can replace poisoned manufactured products. Problem, Big Pharma won't like it replacing thier drugs that cause anal bleeding, skin sores, blindness, ETC.

  • Far Out. Can you dig, like I am so down with this scene. Some cat over in the Haight sold me this hootch, man, and said, dig, we can bogart some of this bread to Arnold for some more teachers, man. Arnold is worse than Gov. Ray Gun, if you remember that square. His scene was nowhere, man.

I gotta split man, pigs at the door and the groovy chick next door said we can ball while they try to dig on my hootch.

  • Hello my /b/rothers and sisters. Yes it is time to legalize Marijuana. Here is a link to the new Marijuana Legalization ad (CA). Repost this in random videos if you care about the cause.

  • the law is wrong not the bong meth is death pot is not

  • Taxes are to high here in California due to liberal democrat spending. I dont blame businesses for leaving its to expensive to stay afloat here. If we dont have the money in our pockets we dont need to continue spendng. Taxing Pot is a good idea but sadly that money we gain from it will only be a drop in the bucket and Gov. might change their minds after a while and say, see it didnt make a dent. We need to tighten our belts for the greater good.

  • I think that California could raise more money by killing pot smokers and selling their organs.

  • Cause that's the sane option and all

  • Legal age should be over 25 I think. Because you dont want the lazzy, burn out effects of pot to hamper youngsters who are pursuing an education.

  • lol....lazy 20 year old? cmon, most certainly should be 21. Kind of weird how we send an 18 year old off to war though. man

  • This is truly brilliant (and true) in every way. This is a 100% perfect presentation to the voting populous at large. This is exactly the direction needed. This couldn't possibly be a better 30 second spot. Thank you MPP!

  • YES!!!!! IT IS TIME!!!

  • Every one spread this video

  • Yes, it's time for LEGALIZATION! Millions/Billions of dollars wasted on the war against drugs. Money that leaves America to fund mafia and killings could be put to better use.

This better happen soon or deliquencies and homocides are going to skyrocket if our economy keeps turning downwards!

  • Drugs are dangerous *because* they're illegal, like how bathtub gin could make you go blind when alcohol was illegal in the US in the 1920's.

  • Sigh... Of course the majority of people would buy legal weed if it existed. We dont see people buying booze from Al Capone these days..

  • Prohibition didn't work in the 1920's, and it isn't working now. I am a 46-year-old smoker who would rather see more people smoke than drink.

  • I agree. My family is full of alcoholics. It's a terrible way to be brough up and weed is just safer and more peaceful. The worst that can happen is you gain a little weight or have a laugh attack.

  • dont be stupid.the fact of the matter is its illegal people smoke it still.the war on drugs is unsuccessful.

    you cant tax it!

it will just CONTINUE TO BE SOLD ILLEGALLY WITHOUT THE TAX!...whih in the long run will strengthen the dealers.think about it

  • yeah but if it's legal and you want pot right now, it'd be easier to get it from a reliable retail store than a flaky dealer that you have to wait for.

  • US drug policy is amazing. We have garbage pot coming into the US by the ton from Mexico, billions of dollars worth of product totally untaxed, and we say we're against the Mexican drug cartel. But if we really wanted to give the cartels a bad day, we would legalize pot. It seems the only people against legalizing pot are prosecutors, defense lawyers and police who have a vested financial interest in pot remaining illegal and don't give a damn about ruining people's lives over nothing.

  • You guys all sound so stupid arguing. :P *sigh*

  • It is, of course, WAY PASSED time!

  • THC fights cancer? Are you really that ignorant?

  • Actually, some cannabinoids found in marijuana do have some cancer fighting properties, however not all strains of marijauna have these cannabinoids.

  • LMAO

Lets create more POT HEADS so we can pay for our teachers.

    LMAO @ dumbasses

    drugs are bad

    not a solution

  • And it's ingorant people like you who do no research and just completely brush off the true issue at hand

  • your an idiot, and apparently you don't even do any drugs... its just in your chemical makeup to be ignorant... bummer for us, not for you... because we can tell how fucking stupid you are.

  • How many of these "I'll gladly pay taxes in order to smoke a joint" folks complained about taxes on cigarettes?

  • Comment removed

  • This is a pretty good ad. Thanks!

  • It's about time! I myself am a Californian, and those who are quick to respond that it "rots your brain" are the UNEDUCATED and UNINFORMED ones. Everyone I know who is pushing for legalization has helped me email our congressmen and women, and most of them are on board with pushing for legalization. This is a great commercial, although I feel it should educate the uneducated a bit more on the non-dangers of this drug.

  • The only reason he has not to legalize marijuana is the good ole boy club that resides on the Hill.

  • Yes, we should legalize marijuana. Why not legalize all of the other drugs as well? They do the same damage as alcohol, only faster. Not to mention, the government is making waayyyyyy more money with the prohibition of drugs, than if they were legalized. You bust a drug dealer, confiscate the money and goods. A few weeks later, put that stuff back on the street, that's how you flip a dollar. They like it just the way it is. GO FIGURE!

  • End the prohibition now. This system has no future.

  • Every one spread this video around.

  • IT'S TIME TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA MR PRESIDENT!! We can do it, yes we can!!!

  • hahaha. I'm sorry. But that's funny to be, asking to the President to help you legalize a drug that slowy rots your brain....The funny thing is that Obama used major drugs in college...

    Peace.

  • What evidence do you have that marijuana slowly rots the brain or it that simply "your opinion"?

  • Hi 99Minerkc, thanks for writing back.

I admit I hate drugs to the point that learning about them makes me want to puke. I'm pro the use of medical Pot. But not for casual use.

What I know on the issue is simply what I've learned from my college classes, personal stories, news stories, cops, friends, and family.

    Peace,

    Brittany Simon

  • Peace? What kind of peace will you establish with lies? Look up the hard science. THC fights cancer as well as alzheimers, fool. What are you so scared of? Obama? Weed? High black men? All of it?

    Peace.

  • Hey Nezua,

I think drugs are a bad thing for soceity. I do lose respect for people who use them (and people who use medical Pot do not count-thats a whole different conversation). So, yes Obama loses repsect from me for using drugs. Bush loses repsect from me for driving drunk. Chenny loses respect from me for not wearing glasses before shooting his friend in the head :p

    ....................

  • A person must be responsible for their actions. A person that smoke pot should do the same as a person that drinks alcohol, DO SO RESPONSIBLY. My personal experience has lead me to believe that pot use is actually safer than alcohol.

  • McGanhanSkjellyfetti ,

    Hello :p

If I may ask, Does personal expirence consist of actually being on pot for years and researching the absolute effect it has?

Because, listening to the arguments make me think it might be okay to legalize it, but my concern isnt the short term effect on one person, but the long term effect on a nation.

    Peace,

    Brittany Simon

  • I'm going off of what I've learned in school, from friends and family and so on. I'm always willing to learn. I'm sick of people getting angry first. I want to know the high lights of a working society on pot.

    Peace,

    Brittany Simon

  • Good god, it's about frigging time.

  • All drugs should be legal the government shouldn't tell you what you can and can't put in your body.

  • Comment removed

  • What a logical comparison.

  • why don't we just kill you? that would be easier, seeing as how that would get rid of probably over 90% of the population of the US.

  • NO, marijuana should become legal but drugs like coke, LSD, herowin(sp)are dangerous-they should no become legal!

  • Why shouldn't coke, LSD and other hard drugs not be legal? If I want to do them it should be my own business.

  • CloeBuckingham - you are the reason MILLIONS of americans are in jail for non-violent, victimless crimes. Idiots like you EAT UP propaganda. if you were a 'patriotoc citizen' in germany around the 30's youd be chanting how the jew and the gay are the reason the are problems in your homeland.

  • I support gay rights and gay marriage.

Marijuana causes paranoia. How can that be good? How can putting smoke in your lungs be good?

It's like wanting to believe ice cream is good. It's irrational, but people just want to believe so badly.

  • Is ice cream illegal? Anything can be bad for you, but once legalized I know more people will purchase vaporizers so there goes your smoke in lungs problem. Even though Marijuana has carcinigens in it, there has never been conclusive proof that it is connected too any form of cancer. The fact is that the Pharmaceutical, Alcohol and Tobacco companies will never allow full testing on Marijuana because they know it will prove even further how harmless and in a lot of cases how benificial it is.

  • So you want to make ice cream illegal, stop collecting taxes from its sale, and then start arresting people for eating it?

Also, you don't have to smoke marijuana, you can eat it or vaporize it. Poof! Problem solved.

  • yes call him a bigot and make a reference to being 'like a nazi' for disagreeing with you, brilliant!

actually public opinion has no weight in the judicial branch, that's what makes it special.

here is a list of U.S. court cases in which judges made rulings based on public opinion:

  • clever response.

  • your a fucking idiot, people vote, the judicial branch does what gets them and thier people positive votes from teh public, everything everyone does in this country involving politics is driven by the people.... you scare the people and make them think that pot turns you into a mad man, you make it illegal, the people think you saved them, your people get votes.

everyone in the world is a fucking idiot, and you are just another example

  • the only "fucking idiot" is those who think people will buy HIGH PRICED government regulated Pot over CHEAP ASS Mexican Pot.

    Thanks for displaying your ignorance.

Government WILL NEVER be able to compete with the current POT prices.

leftists/democrats are idiots and the state government of California is PROOF of that.

  • Who said anything about high priced? With the legalization, prices will drop and the cartels wont be able to compete. If they lower their prices, they lose money.

  • "Who said anything about high priced?"

    LOL

    Nothing government regulated is cheap.

Drug cartels can sell it for 20 bucks a pound if they had to.

The only thing this tax would do is DRAIN more money out of the poor in America and make life HARDER for the slaves that work under the cartels.

  • or, poor people could easily grow their own plants and sell them for whatever price and pay the tax on it and everyone wins.

  • Who want's to buy from a shady cartel. You have to put up with "dealers" or maybe getting killed for money. Screw that. I would love to pay taxes on something that is legit.

As far as price goes that depends on the quality. Just like buying an automobile.

  • are you high? Pot right now is priced high because it is illegal, I don't know where you're getting the idea that pot prices are low. when it becomes legalized that means more competition (tons more people growing weed) so that means prices will come down because there will be so much weed available. you have no idea how the market works. plus mexican weed fucking sucks, that shit is brown and has little to no THC. Northern California has the real bud.

  • I think there would be some regulation as to who and how it is processed. I agree that better sourced pot would be a good thing. At least you know it's clean.

  • are you kidding? look at tobacco prices from the government.. 8$ an ounce and thats AFTER like 3$ in taxes. weed is 300-400$ an ounce illegaly, when it cost less than 100$ to grow a pound (16 ounces)... cartels wont sell for 20$ a pound because its not worth the risk of getting caught for hardly any money.. right now its worth a shitload of money since its illegal so its worth the risk.

  • ~nerdStarwars:

Judges aren't elected they are appointed. The whole point of the judicial branch is that it isn't held accountable by votes or public opinion. The law is enforced impartially, and the will of the majority does not get to overrule the rights of any minority.

    No. Voting.

Oh why do I bother, he doesn't understand the basic precepts of the U.S. government. Why do stupid people think they know everything when they really know nothing?

  • Hmmm.....I wonder what else is illegal that we can legalize right about now?

  • This is a racist ad. Becoming a surgeon takes perhaps a decade more training than a policeman. The surgeon is white and the policeman is black.

  • i dunno, this makes way too much sense to slip through california's political machine

  • I would rather they cut bureaucrats.

  • legalize now

  • Why? Marijuana is harmful.

  • Correcting spelling in previous post (It's three am...I'm half asleep) lol disguised voice and about not abou...

  • No matter where you stand on this issue, you have to appreciate the courage it took for Ms. Herndon to put herself in this position. Some other people would have done the ad with their face away from the camera and their voice diguised, but she very bravely took a stand and I for one applaud that. Talk abou putting your money where your mouth is!!

  • To really prove her courage and bravery, I would like to see her put in prison. Then she could be a real martyr.

Better yet, let the mother of someone who graduated from pot to meth and then overdosed put a bullet in her head. She could be a real martyr then.

These people are destroying the youth of the nation.

  • Well I won't dispute your arguement. You seem pretty set on it.

According to Alcohol Alert as of July 9, 2009 there have been 6736 drunk driving deaths this year alone.

In 2006 there were 15,829 alcohol releated drunk driving deaths in the U.S.

We won't even go into the lives ruined by alcohol and it's abuse.

We don't need a bullit. Just give them the keys and a drink. My point being is there are many ways to die. I'll take a doobie over a drink anytime.

7 dead in 1 day in Mass. 7/3/09

  • Yes, let's ban alcohol too!

  • Wow!!! You are such a bitter person over something like this!! Wishing someone dead because she seeks to end pain with a little cannabis. Perhaps we should jail or shoot all the folks on percodan and vicodin etc. Makes you sound a little Hitlerish ......

  • fuck it !!!!!!!!!!! i dont really care about it you know the fucking idiot people always they going to buy it legalize or not.

  • EXACTLY!!! thats why it SHOULD be legal!you're not gonna stop it!if they cant get it 1 way, they get it another!and we hav better things to spend tax dollars on!

  • Habitual use of marijuana dulls mental acuity.

    Marijuana causes paranoia.

  • 1. and alcohol doesnt ?

    2. so ?

  • Alcohol should be banned too, but it takes time and planning, not a sudden amendment.

  • Government prohibition is a bad joke that doesn't work.

Even when "offenders" are rounded up in front of a ditch and shot in mass executions for some petty minor drug infraction, which is what happens in some backwards third world countries, drugs still do not magically "go away".

Alcohol prohibition was a FAILURE and so is cannabis prohibition. Education, education, and more education -- as well as freedom from oppression -- is what we need.

  • Not for me.

  • so don't use it habitually, problem solved. there's things that are legal that are 1000x worse for you.

  • Kids who try marijuana are 50 times more likely to move on to hard drugs. Drugs cut life expectancy by 16 years. The woman in the commercial is advocating child murder.

  • she is advocating responsible adults being allowed to be responsible!

  • You mean "irresponsible."

  • Nice job talking out of your ass. Too bad your information is wrong. Decisions(from idiots), lead to hard drugs, Marijuana leads to relaxation. I know 100s and 100s of smokers and only a few who decided to ruin their lives with harder drugs. Marijuana can only help people, it's ignorance that causes pain.

  • this is because of the illegal status of cannabis. dealers dont ask for id if your underaged. countries that have legalized can control all drug using alot better.

  • Do not legalize pot!

It's better for the state to go broke, teachers to be laid off, schools to close, the children to fall further stupid, the prisons to swell, the streets to turn savage, and the army to soak up the cream of the killing crop.

It's the American Way, folks. Defend it!

  • smell that? thats sarcasm!

  • She looks high as a kite.

  • It is about time! Tax it, control it, and respect people's right to freedom with their own bodies in circumstances that don't harm others.

It is too bad it has taken a budget crisis to get people talking sense.

  • Codependency harms others.

  • Good ad. Now make some for the rest of the states.

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • what the heck is up with the volume?! fix the level of sound! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!

  • The volume is fine. Try getting better speakers/headphones.

  • and what are a chat box technician? like you'd know.... FIX THE VOLUME!

  • Every one please spread this video every where! I spent 5 hours today doing it and it got alot of views because of it with your help we can make a change its already at 14k!

  • 1,000 times safer. Alcohol and cigarettes are the real problems.

  • The Govnt trying to babysit its populace has always turned for the worse in every case throughout history. Society as a whole actually becomes more conscious of the dangers of illegal substances once it becomes legal and usage actually goes down. People don't want to get high and fuck up their job, but the fact that it is illegal creates more violence through illegal organizations selling them.

  • I agree, not to mention the unintended consequence of the drug war. When you tell your citizens, that the drug that nearly 1 out of every 2 has smoked and knows is not dangerous, that it is indeed dangerous and infact can result in life in prison for doing, then the populace will not trust their own government to give them truthful information on anything else.

  • Singapore has repressed drugs quite effectively, and it used to have a huge black market before Lee Kuan Yew.

We need to stigmatise drug users more.

  • LOL, or we could beleive that freedom works and not try to impose our values on others through violence. The worst part is that your values are based mostly on 'refer madness'. No one (unbiased anyway) can look at liquor, tabacoo and marijuana and say that marijuana is the drug that needs to be illegal. You know God is looking down shaking his head saying 'and they made marijuana illegal... really?'.

  • Seriously guys spread this link to other youtube videos and such. I spent so many hours spreading this link on differnt forums and youtube videos now you guys should do it too it makes a differance.

  • It took me around 12 seconds to read your message. You could be doing somthing with your life instead of posting your bullshit because it took you more time to right that then for me to read it. =)

  • very nice mpp, you people are heroes.

  • Favorited, bitch!

  • The cannabis/hemp crop is worth 210 billion dollars in fuel oil alone.

  • the law is wrong not the bong meth is death pot is not set the non-violent ganja prisoners free to clean air and good food...

  • lets all get high Woohoo!

california is fucked up anyway, maybe if the lawmakers of california got high, they might do a better job !!!!!

  • i'm glad these are going to be airing, it's about time the general public was re-educated about marijuana.

  • If the tax is to HIGH, people would still go to black market to get it.

  • not necessarily; if the government wanted this to work they would include incentives for growers to regulate their sales. Tax breaks, land, that kind of thing. In doing that, the government would take their crop (the pot) and sell it and tax it. Thats the basic idea.

  • Good commercial

    Good Luck with the bill!

  • For those who fear the gov't tax bogeyman: Every commercial product in America is taxed, why should cannabis be different? I have to pay sales tax on a beer, Coors has to pay corp taxes to sell it.

But if I brew home beer, aside from the sales taxes on the equipment, it's tax-free. Cannabis will be the same. Nobody's going to tax Joe Blow's private closet-grow plant, because it's unenforceable. You may pay a tax on the seed, but otherwise it'll be as tax-free to personally grow as cucumbers.

  • yes, yes it is time.

  • Finally I can pay taxes and smoke weed legally

  • DO IT! DO IT.

  • you people who are focusing on the spokesperson are losing the whole purpose of the message. It makes no matter what the person looks like or who they are it's the BIG PICTURE. I happen to be her niece and am proud that she actually did this to stand up for people who actually need MEDICAL marijuana.

  • this isnt advocating medical marijuana, its saying that we should legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana for recreational use, because the profits from that tax areprojected at like 1 billion i think.

  • Since policemen are going to be laid off in Califorinia, it makes good sense to legalize M so that the remaining police won't have to waste their time on enforcing an insane law.

  • Boycott ABC and NBC for not running the ads!!

Unfortunately we will not be able to run the creative," wrote Michael Friedman of KNTV, the NBC affiliate in San Francisco, to an MPP representative. At KABC in L.A., the ad was rejected for purportedly encouraging marijuana smoking.

  • Guys lets spread this video around im going on 4chan and posting it on /b/

  • Two ABC affiliates joined one NBC station in the decision to reject the spots.

  • This should be a featured video.

  • Ah... so this is the infamous "bad message" i was hearing about on the other video.

That also came to mind on the other video where Arnold said he would look at case studies or what not from other countries who have legalized cannabis. That "we would not want to legalize it just for the sake of making money"- yet they would rather decrease funding to an already lacking education system. There ya go, that's the solution.

  • Church

  • Bad commercial, but for a good cause. Legalize it.

  • Take marijuana off from the black market!!!

  • LEGALIZE IT!

  • or she could just vaporize it? fuck you.

  • Ah, you got the hots for this fat old broad, dont you, worm. Sorry, puke, youre way too weak for her. Get some game, loser. haha

  • Yes, her husband is a grower, but did he start growing after she needed it (her bio says she suffered strokes)? Also she is a very dignified, intelligent and believable spokesperson, not a stoner. The lawmakers and voters need to see the necessity of medical marijuana. The folks who use it for medical are not hurting anyone, right?

  • The average person who needs medical marijuana isn't an old woman, either. Its not anyone, its a variety of people.

You can't tell me that having an unattractive woman advertising something compared to an attractive one is going to do better, and men seeing an attractive woman compels them more than vice versa.

Don't get the impression you have, as that wasn't a serious comment.

  • if anything, the older woman (not even that old) makes it look more legit.

It would look like just another, axe type, commercial looking for an excuse to legalize cannabis if it were a young super hot woman.

This is an ad that lays down facts with a real person, not an actor.

    One love

  • I apologize for my kneejerk reaction, to attack you. I just feel that most medical marijuana smokers look like this average woman than say, Paris Hilton. I greatly admire her courage to come out of her box and take such a big chance for something she believes in.

  • Yeah, I agree with that. I just didn't want to come across as a typical moron for that comment.

Hopefully soon we won't have to give a fuck about telling people about our beliefs. I hate the way some things we know are right are frowned upon.

  • I feel your pain

Im tired of my life being controlled by ignorant people and the ignorant people who continue to believe and enforce laws that make no logical sense.

If using marijuana actually made anyone do the crazy shit that so many people believe that it does, Dont you think we would hear more of these stories in the news?

Fact is marijuana is safer than alcohol and I deserve the right to choose my recreational drug of choice, I dont like alcohol so give me another option.

  • Finally a commercial that I wouldn't put on mute. It's about time the people start fighting the government in this ridiculous drug war. Not that it really would be that much of accomplishment since the drug war is already a ridiculous failure by the government. Hotflash why don't you try telling people one valid reason why you think cannabis is worse than alcohol besides the fact that it is illegal. ATTN: Government officials. Read the Preamble. "We the people" want marijuana to be legal.

  • well, considering cannabis can't kill you while alcohol and tobacco kill many citizens on a daily basis, i fail to see a legitimate argument in your post.

  • The lady is a cancer patient. Her husband is attending a business course sponsored by the medical MJ coop. Calling it a University is their way of being cute, since they provide all of the knowledge needed to grow good product.

  • SORRY, this is not a cancer patient, as stated below I am her niece and she IS NOT a cancer patient. Don't speak of something you know nothing about.

  • So if they tax pot how much will it cost for a joint? $100? Then I can see all the potheads whining about being overtaxed for just one little joint. Oh the madness

  • No, the price for the pot itself would go down because growing operations couldn't over price it like they do now. I herd they're taxing it by the ounce so I think it would cost about the same.

  • depends on the quality, but we might see a single joint around $20. if you figure $10 for a gram, labor, and tax, etc. we'll see soon enough though

  • What? How do you figure? The stuff you buy right now goes through about 3-4 middle men. It will become cheaper to smoke if it's legal.

  • no, the stuff i buy does not. but i would say, eventually cannabis would be mainstream just as cigarettes have. that will be a sad day in history, but until then, we will continue to get good, organic herb that i would gladly pay extra for

  • It will be cheaper. Legalization cuts out the ridiculous amount of middle men. The grower sells to a bulk buyer for cheap, they sell to a few people for a bit more, those people sell to a few people for a bit more, etc... until finally the average user gets to buy their eighth of an ounce. They are taxing retailers 50 an ounce, which means they only need to charge an extra 6.25 per eighth sold to casual users. 100 dollars a joint is a joke of an estimate. More like $2.50.

  • Please - I'm getting tired of the "legalize it so it can be taxed argument." It should be legalized, but only because there is no valid reason for keeping the substance illegal. The carrot of added taxes lowers the argument and ignores the fact that no one knows what kind of tax revenue could be generated from marijuana sales. It's a distraction and should be treated as such.

  • Marijuana has been illegal for over 70 years and today it is America's #1 cash crop plus it's easier to get than ever before while drug gangs and cartels are richer than ever before. If this isn't proof that prohibition is a failure then I don't know what is.

It's truly a shame so many have failed to learn from the disaster of Alcohol prohibition in the 1920's!

  • Legalize it and tax it. We're already out there doing it whether you like it or not, and you cannot stop all of us.

So why let California miss-out on a chance to bring some badly-needed-revenue in as well?

  • Drug prohibition laws are shameful and inhumane.

I am definitely in favor of treating marijuana like homebrew alcohol. Adults in the USA are allowed to brew their own beer without arrest or taxation if no sales are involved. We should allow adults to grow marijuana for personal use and tax any sales.

Some say adults will just grow their own and no taxes will be collected. People can grow and process their own food, tobacco, and clothing crops legally. How many people shop at stores instead?

  • It should be legalized I am a medical marijuana patient and it saved my life, no more brain cancer thanks to mmj!!

  • Bump + Donate

  • lol, how can you compare marijuana to killing another human being and kid porn?

your ignorance is far worse then the drug.
