I like the software you are using to demonstrate the amplitude Vs time graph along side the spectral content of the wave. Could you please let me know what the software package is called?
I'm pretty sure it's a little application made with LabVIEW... which while it can do a number of things--control devices, acquire data, transform and visualize data, etc.,--it costs a fair amount. I'm friends with a couple lab instructors, so I'll see if there is a cheaper way to do this.
