Those ZZRs are fucking fast. A sports tourer with super bike performance. It's like riding your suped up sofa because they are very comfortable to ride as well.
Its all in how you launch as well. I was being very conservative since I was new at drag racing and was getting a bit of wheel slip which made me nervous. I'm sure if I went back I would be in the 11's.
if your getting wheel spin then I would suggest letting your tire pressure down to about 28-30 PSI. And I would also suggest upgrading to an 03-04 636 exhaust. more options for slip-ons and a better header design. After I did that I'm now running consistent 11.4's... good luck! :)
Its going to be a tight fit but it can be done with two people. The main problem is that the collector tube is going to touch the oil pan, but that's not that big of a deal.
Hey man how the hell do you keep the front tire down in first gear at full throttle. I have the 07 600 with stock gearing... even if i roll on first gear slow when it hits the higher rpms that tire is like a rocket to the moon. I only weigh 130 pounds so even when im hovering on the tank I cant keep the tire planted.. I usually shift it about 9,000 in first and then redline starting in 2nd.. any ideas? It makes my launches suck..
If I really let it rev I can get the wheel to come up slightly, but I don't really have a problem with it. I had more of an issue with rear tire slippage at the track than the front wheel coming up.
Like what MikeW said one down in the front, and up 2 in the rear for sprockets. Lower it most deff. Add a slip on, and get the factory pro +4 ignition advancer. There are guys with this setup in the mid 10's on our bikes.
Nice, I have the same bike and my only mod so far is the 4 degree timing advancer. Trying to decide on what exhaust to get. What other mods are you planning?

And how much weight you're carrying. Heavier rider, slower times.

I already have the timing advancer and Yoshimura slip-on. Only other things i'd like to change are the sprockets. Probably this summer.
mschafe132 4 years ago
Try lowering it and adding a tooth down sprocket.

Thrash it harder. THAT will get you into the 11's.
I had a Bandit 600 (71rwhp). Only mod was a race can. Quickest time was 11.80s

My next step is a full jet kit and then get it dyno tuned. Probably will wait until next year though.
