(rolls eyes) That's what you get for using footwear in gymnastix. When will men ever learn? I'm an ex-guy gymnast, and I NEVER did it with sox! With bare feet, this is a problem that me & women gymnasts never had! Smarten up, men, take off the sox!

@SnowbirdFlock That's not a sock, its his ankle taped up. And, that's not even the issue here. The floor strips are supposed to be velcroed together so there is no gap. Whoever set up the floor is at fault here.

@SnowbirdFlock Oh dear, for an ex gymnast youre not very knowledgeable are you? He is wearing shorts, elites wear short shorts to allow the full range of moment and show the tension and shape of the upper legs and thighs.

@SnowbirdFlock they are for when your feet are not involved with the floor, e.g bars, rings and pommel horse, its not really down to whether you like it or not im afraid. and so what if it looks gay?

@SnowbirdFlock Its the "uniform" of men's gymnastics. Why does any player in any sport wear what they do? The simple answer is that it is the established international uniform for the sport. If you know anything about scoring in gymnastics, you will know that the gymnast will actually get a score deduction for wearing incorrect clothing for the apparatus (e.g., no socks for events with pants). Just the way it is I'm afraid.

@slightlyshattered I was a recreational (non-competitive) gymnast for 6 years. Pants look bad in gymnastix, and they make you sweat like a hog. Me & women have always known that, but men just don't seem to get it

@SnowbirdFlock Which means you don't actually know a thing about real gymnastics. Pants are required for every event except floor and vault. It has nothing to do with the gymnast's preference As far as wearing "footwear," his ankle is taped up, it's not a sock or shoe. Maybe you should get a clue about real gymnastics before you come onto a video and make a fool of yourself.
