  • I noticed that the woman seen at 1:08 looks alot like the girl in the Progressive Insurance ads. i know its not her but there is a resemblence

  • Why did I keep watching this?

  • The film is cool. The music....not so much.

  • 2:43 The narrator sounds so villainous...run woman, run!

  • So Gay..... I love it !!!!!

  • Wow. I've just given this 3 listens and I do not get the snarky comments at all. This version is actually a great club style mix of this decent atmospheric song. Freeman is just a cranky pants if he thinks otherwise. The song wasn't timeless- you've updated the rhythm and adding the other bits(chickens, kitchens)- brilliant, inventive and fun. Yes, it could do well with a clean up aurally, but, so what? Bravo Mangetout! In the year 2150 people will not use kitchens, food will be in pill form.

  • very funny video

  • I want a kitchen with a nuclear computer and 23,000,000 of Crisco. But my kitchen MUST have a sink under a window.

  • boy were they wrong!

  • This is simply magical.

  • My dream kitchen is one that has a hot, sexy man in it cooking me a gourmet meal! Hell yeah! >;)

  • cool vid

  • For god's sake, someone stun me; I can't get this soundtrack out of my head, it's been looping in there now for the better part of a day. Chicken. Chicken. Chicken....

  • Wow. I feel so brainwashed.

  • See? I knew you'd be a nice person and now I feel bad for my comment. Sorry!

Do you mind if I mention that 'Sue', the LP Dream Kitchen came from has just been re-issued by Cherry Red? You do? Oh...

  • Hey, it's no problem - as I say, a great honour to have rubbed (virtual) shoulders with you

  • Hello, Tim from Frazier Chorus here. Mangetout; you are clearly an amusing and intelligent sort, but I'm genuinely sorry to say you've made my song sound rubbish (yes, I can already hear the comments that it was rubbish already!). Still, good video...

  • Hi Tim. If it's really you, it's a great honour to receive your comment - even a sharply critical one like this.

I'm really sorry it's not to your liking - sorry, but honestly not very surprised - after all, this video was only ever intended as a bit of harmless fun and as such was never going to be comparable in musical quality to the materials it drew upon.

  • what's that song?

    tacky, too tacky

  • It's meant to be tacky.

Samples of 'Dream Kitchen' by Frasier Chorus are used (as mentioned in the video description)

  • AWFUL!!! The song is too fast. It sounds WRONG!!! Please redo at the correct speed.

  • 'Please redo'? What, are you a schoolteacher? No. If you don't like it, watch something else.

  • cool

  • This is genius! Who actually remixed the track?

  • I did it myself. Actually, I don't think it's as good as it could have been, but thanks.

  • really cool vid

  • alvar alto chairs?

  • This is cool, the 50s seemed like a time when have a neat, sophisticated and futuristic kitchen was a must have. CHICKENS!! LOL

  • I WANT one of those :-)

  • I'm afraid you made this a little too fast. YUK

  • That was a brilliant editing job! I love your fact-filled comments. Now where is my jet-pack, time to fly off to work.

  • Excellent, chickens, tidy.

  • too bad u ruined it

  • Hey I dance around my kitchen in a tutu every day.

  • This is great! Love the remixed Frazier Chorus.

  • liek the Frazier Chorus remix and the clips are dead funny. Love the Chickens. Always knew they were the key to human happiness.

  • oh lord, my kitchen looks like that, but communist, and a bitworse for the wear. and made in the DDR.

  • Thanks. In 1999, the moon will be as popular a holiday destination as the Caribbean.

  • or CUBA!!!!

  • I like the wishbone =p

  • Pretty interesting clips about generic kitchen design from the 'scientists know the way' and women don't era(s). The kitchen as designable empty space--funny and savvy film. thanks

  • Thank you. By the year 1978, most everyday items of clothing will be manufactured from convenient disposable paper.

  • sorry but thats the most awful remix of that song.

  • Sorry you didn't like it. Within the next ten years, roads will become obsolete as flying cars, capable of vertical take-off and landing, grow in popularity.

  • >shudder< The 50's...when suddenly, cooking was "drudgery" & cookbooks had "recipes" calling for things like Jell-o & Velveeta. Mangetout, I love reading your posts on that other board..I can't afford the membership yet but I wanted to tell you. Cool vid!! (made of RUBBER!)

  • Thanks! In 1995, businessmen will be able to keep in touch with their secretaries by means of two-way radios no larger than a small suitcase.

  • Very entertaining and nicely done!

  • Thank you. In the year 1999, most food will be manufactured from petrochemicals.

  • WTF is this about ?

  • It's a startling glimpse into the future. In the year 1986, most households will have atomic robot servants.
