Hello redfan - The situation here in Canada is that our government is refusing educated professionals from places like Europe or the USA, but are instead showing priority to people from third world countrys, such as India, Pakistan, Jamacia, etc. Many of these new imports do not even speak English, and it costs our taxpayers billions to educate them, or provide them with welfare for many years. A doctor from London was recently refused entry to Canada, absolutely crazy.
I am not sure where you got your information, but many persons from the countries you mentioned are doctors, lawyers, and IT professionals, and while there may be programs to help with their English, they are not being 'educated', they have already been educated! They have a lot to offer Canada in its development.....I think part of the problem lies in the government of Canada not offering incentives for immigrants to settle in many of the underpopulated areas of Canada.
Hi ratballs - I stated that Canada has accepted a lot of good imports over the years, it's a simple matter of our country not being able to handle the high numbers they have taken. The fact we no longer have family doctors is a prime example. Excessive immigration is a cancer that has killed the great life we once had in Canada.

Although, I reached a masters degree with huge debts (2001), I still cannot obtain a good position, because no contact. Recently, no choice, I had to work in a linen factory. About family, I waited so long for a financial security and now it is too late. I can't even get health care properly. So, Canada for me is not as good as it is supposed to be.
