I'm pretty sure that's it. When he gets to an orange heart, you can buy a blue feather from Karen

You need to have one of the Mineral Town GBA Games, and a DS Lite. Then you just put the GBA game into the slot in your DS and play your DS game as normal. You won't see all the boys (or girls) at once, though; just one or two a day.

Well in AWL, AnWL(and SE) you have basically these kids, except that Marlin's kid is actually blackhaired - and sons (except SE where you get a girl)

In other games the kids are just loafs of bread in the cribs or crawling around your house in a mousesuit for decades.

Marrying one of the Valley Boys will result in having the same child no matter how often you marry that guy (girl or boy only depends on when you marry)

If you marry an MT Guy or Skye, then you will get one of the valley guys' kids. Example you marry Skye and have Rock's child with blond hair green eyes. Next time you marry him, you might end up with Carter's child.

I suggest that you save before giving birth if you want a specific kid (when married to Skye) and reload if u want a different one.
