This is excellent and entertaining (because of the cgi effects, not the death of so many people), shocking and sad footage at the same time.

It is interesting how many movies in the last couple of years took forward things that happened a short period of time after a film was released.

I think you get a very real sense its not the water that will hurt...exception for drowning, its all the heavy and pointy things you get hit by or hit that will do you in. In any event, the only kindess we can imagine in death is death...eventually the sufferering and pain and fear ends. I liked the movie and do believe we go on. If Im wrong...we'll never know...if Im right well I promise not to remind you too much through eternity ;)

Funny, I don't see this as entertainment now, I actually see this as a true story in Japan. I love this type of total destruction but I just can't see this scene being entertaining in respect of Japan. :[ Fantastic effects though and I'm sure it's a fantastic film.

I never really knew what a tsunami could do and twice in less than 10 years it has been perfectly demonstrated. My thoughts are with Japan and all tsunami survivors.

So this is scene is actually a true story in Thailand specifically. And actually the really deadly ones don't happen all that often, if you look at a list of casualties from tsunami's the last big one to kill over 10,000 happened in 1908.
