i love this song so much...its so beautiful..when david.O(the viloinst..his last name is so hard to spell) played it it almost made me cry..same when he played Clair de lune
Its hard to come by my piano teacher gave it to me as a gift...more of a challenge really he said that im gifted at piano but he wanted to see how well i am at clarinet :) ive only been playing piano and clarinet for about 6 years...and violin and trumpet for around 2 years...
Can't thank you enough for this post..have to agree about the above comment about the octaves-it is seldom that they are heard played with such purity. I like the way this was filmed as well...thank you so much again!!!!
Fantastic playing. Kogan has his usual high intensity and razor sharp precision. Intonation is so perfect that octaves sound like single notes. The pianist is really great as well. Though it's less evident from this recording, I remember a really amazing recording of the two of them playing the Prokofiev 1st violin sonata. Does anyone know more about Andrei Mytnic?

That is absolutely LOVELY...there were some parts of the music where it sort of reminded me of Cesar Franck's Violin Sonata in A..LOL
