I forgot to mention that I spent some time in Burgas and Plovdiv. They are really cool cities as well. Bulgaria is very different from my home, Toronto, because it is not as multicultural or developed. Hopefully that will change with time. Still my best vacation so far.

I'm Chinese Canadian and I went to Sofia and Varna/ Golden Sands in Sept '09 for about 8 days total. It was the best trip I ever had but it would be difficult for people who don't speak any Bulgarian. People are the same everywhere some good some bad. The country is beautiful and safe if you are a respectful person. The women are really beautiful too! :)
