A 'Drill' is a mechanical device whereas a 'Bit' is a Tool that the Drill uses to bore.
When teaching, it is important to learn / use the proper terms.
Lastly, a lathe should always be mounted on a FIRM, SECURE Table, Platform or Stand...not one that wobbles, shakes and rocks back and forth...tsk...tsk.
Otherwise, your videos offer an instructional point of view on the Harbor Freight (and perhaps other mini) lathes. Nice work!
Nice job on the Video....I have a friend of mine turn all my parts for me and I feel bad...Im going out tomorrow and buying one of these......keep the viedos coming...I learned alot there...thanks
Sorry about the way my comments came across I did not know that you were a beginner If you have any questions you can post them on here and I am sure that I or someone else will answer them. So once again please accept my apologies.
The only thing anyone will learn watching this crap is how NOT use a lathe. Far too much overhang on the tool and, the Cross slide should not be overhanging when turning using the saddle or power feed. Rough, is too good a word for this.
thanks, that is the type of input I was hoping for. Good point about the tool being out too far and the cross slide. Like I said in the video I'm just a hobbyist and have much to learn. Any more pointers would be appreciated, just keep it clean, Thanks.

Search Yahoo or google for "little machine shop". They have the best mini lathe and milling accessories plus a great learning center for starters
