Love these old saloon cars. I did find it slightly funny that Klaus Ludvig is apparently driving an 'I am gay' Mercedes. no offence mean't towards the german language.

racing series, doesn't matter which class, if touring cars or formula classes were much more interesting and thrilling at "old" circuits. hockenheim long and for example the old nürburgring with castrol s, etc. were much more interesting!

Ahh, the Hockenheimring as I best remember it. I know it was modified heavily for safety, but the new Hockenheim had all of its character removed, and now this track is (probably going to earn me some poor comment points) just another boring circuit. But this is a great video as I'm not as educated about old-school DTM racing.

imho the new layout of the Hockenheim circuit wasn´t introduced for safety reasons, as Hockenheim wasn´t a particularly dangerous track, but they wanted to be more viewer friendly with a shorter lap, and because large parts of the track was in the forest, where it couldn´t be watched by fans. Sadly they took most of the character of the circuit away with it.

Before (60s and 70s) it was changed for safety reasons, introducing first 2 chicanes on the straights after Clark died.

Kinda miss the old Hockenheim circuit. Those idiots change the track configuration into those boring circuits.
