Very well done. Although I find that it lacked story. In my opinion Music Videos should have some story/scenario and unless yours was this young lady walking to the shops to buy some cigarettes then I don't think it was enough. I felt some of the cuts were a little weak. They were just a little long and the transitions between them was slow. I suggest next time, get more footage of different angles, and work on a little shorter cuts with a smoother transition that doesn't take too long.

The only thing (in my humble opinion) that would make this video better is if it told a "STORY" or had a simple plot i.e. the girl is meeting someone/she's in love/ she meets him at the end of the road/video etc... I could say that the video reflects the way I feel when I'm walking down the city streets on a gorgeous day, privately enjoying sacred-sounding music on my headphones. I pass by with a simple smile, knowing they cannot possibly share my moment. Of course, everything I just typed is self-indulgent romantic grandeur, but in regards to the video: sometimes it's just not worth deconstructing things looking for deeper meaning and theme. Magic in the mundane.

Your actor having that same half smile in every scene and keeping her hands in her pocket doesn't really match with the effects and music. If she had more facial expressions, moved her head around more and took her hands out her pockets, that body language would've matched the music and effects. I felt she could have shown more of her personality. Of course, it's hard to find a good actor who would do any project like this. Other than that, your shots and effects were very well executed.

@MusicAtmo I am majoring in Television & Cinema, I am focusing on becoming a video editor mostly. Had I had more time to work on this video, it would be a lot tighter, I just had to turn it in for a grade. Funny thing is that my first idea was completely different but my professor shot it down, so I was in a time crunch and just shot this without any prior planning/concept and just worked with what I recorded.

@codyman91286 Lol, I hate when that happens! Though in my case, actors wouldn't show up so then I had to create something different the next day for my assignment. I'm also thinking about film editing as a possible career. I like the process, putting sounds and scenes together like a puzzle and the fulfillment you get when you finish a project you had spend a lot of time on. Though, I'd never worked on something for 3 months! All I know is shooting, and scene and sound editing, no effects yet.
