The album is heavy in comparison to other bands, but when compared to "Changes" and "Relentless," they seem like A Day to Remember. @TheAlidie I'm glad you agree!!! Haha. Alot of it has to do with the fact that in the two albums, it is a different vocalist and different drummer. The vocalist off of Changes now plays with Legend (check out their album Valediction) and the drummer from Changes is now with The Ghost Inside.
andrew(the ex drummer) was FTFD he has always been in ftfd and he started it with jim....he was the one writing the songs and he was going into a more brutal direction but the rest of the band were pussies and didnt want to so he quit and now they write shitty music.

I met him at All Stars with TGI thursday night, and I was talking to him about it and he told me That he wanted nothing to do with the direction they were heading. He said that Rise wasn't the kind of label he wanted to be under. I am thankful he salvaged himself and went to TGI. Sucks that FTFD had to go under, but TGI gained an amazing member.

This is par for the course really. Amazing progressive and orginal band to start with, then finds it has to dilute its sound & vision in order to court mainstream acceptance. ALL major bands have done it and will continue to do it. Just greatful for the fact they made Changes at all. That will always be a top 3 album of mine.
And short of FTFD turning into Brokencyde or Maroon 5, I'll always be a fan of theirs too

Many people "give a fuck" because it seems like a completely different band playing than the one in the "Changes" album. I don't see any heavy hits from this album. I love For the Fallen Dreams, but they disappointed the people who were into them with this album, including me.
@StArxSkReAm I agree, this album has almost none of the awesome melodies and progressiveness that made Changes so good. It's a shame that they have to rely on pop punk choruses for that instead of the types of riffs they had on Changes.

It's just a little different of a genre now, so I understand why you, and so many others, don't like it.

Many people "give a fuck" because it seems like a completely different band playing than the one in the "Changes" album. I don't see any heavy hits from this album. I love For the Fallen Dreams, but they disappointed the people who were into them with this album, including me.

I'm just glad that they still have some core elements of FTFD. Yes, it's much more simplistic, and if you don't like clean vocals, you won't like it. But if you judge it for what it is, it's a god damn good album.

@StArxSkReAm Andrew isn't in FTFD anymore. That's why Back Burner is so different. He was the primary music writer for all of their stuff. He's with The Ghost Inside now. So with Dylan, what'd you expect. It's no Relentless, and it's certainly not Changes, but for what it is, it's a damn good album. It's just a little different of a genre now, so I understand why you, and so many others, don't like it.
