My "pony" ending involves him returning to Joan Redfern and using the Chameleon arch. The vision from Family of Blood would have been a prophetic one. He entrusts a fob watch to Joan. We see the continuation of the deathbed scene from FoB, though after he says "It's done. Thank You." and closes his eyes, Joan opens the watch and he regenerates. Young 11 wakes up on John's deathbed, and offers to care for Joan, though she says John has died, and so 11 walks the green hills, back to the TARDIS.

I watch this 2 a week from start to finish and it never stops to amaze me that David tennenat could get so many people to love him. When he left there was not a dry eye any where. But David will be missed. But don't fret just yet reports but not absulotly solid have said David might come back! He sai himself the idea sounds exciting and it might be fun but if I do then I will be the first to tell people. So don't fret David might come back but that's not until 2013 for dr whos 50th anniversary.

@abstractmilk I'm crying and I'm a guy I started watching doctor who the episode before David and I've loved David since. I cried the episode when he regenerated into matt smith. I cryed for like 10 minutes I just wish he decided to come back and somehow matt smith has to regenerate and he regenerates back to David and says that's never happened. David please come back

I guess if you're into shipping, this works. But really, Tennant's ending-the Ood sending him off with their song, continuing onward as a newly generated Doctor...Ten earned his happy ending, and as much as he hated it, he knew he was going to say farewell to a body he had enjoyed.

Keep dreaming fans, but the reality is, "I don't want to go" was still a VERY emotional ending.

@eyeball946 - Peter Cushing isn't considered one of the "Doctors" He played a character named Dr. Who in the movie "Dr. Who and the Daleks" but was not a Time Lord, he was human. Not a bad movie-watch it on Hulu, but not part of the series.

@dhanotarox well in the actual series he absorbs all the radiation in the chamber that Wilf was originally stuck in. That radiation was killing him which made him regenerate. :)

@rakush123 David Tennant chose to leave the series, it wasn't necessarily the BBC. Anyway, his Doctor was the mourning, time weary man. And we can only play that for so long. All the time, he felt he lived too long...this was the natural progression of his character. After loss and mourning, you change and move on. The Doctor can literally do both in body. Though i would like to see a doctor live until they die of old age instead of the run of the mill radiatiion gimmick.

Just came over to see this one more time. Simply beautiful work and I always tear up when I watch it. I should send you my noted on the Pandorica idea ,which works just as well. Though, of course, this one gives 10.2 a life of his own, and that's the BEST solution, in my book. I don't think the Pandorica one will do that, given the nature of the Pandorica.

That whole idea was inspired by you Rae, I loved the idea from the one fic you recommended...I forgot what it was called but 10 regenerated into 10.2 with the help of bad wolf 9. In my newest video for a contest that is going to be another alternative ending, it's a music video so I don't know if it will pull at the heart strings as much as this one did. I don't know why, because it is a happy ending, maybe because we are all so desperate for it to have happened that way...but i'm crying after watching this! It's so beautiful and I'm in absolute awe of how you fit the words from the Shakespeare Code into the reversed clips from WOM. Brilliant! So...did the other Doctor stop him from dying? I'm just slightly confused.

At the end 10.2 switches minds with 10. It was Rae's idea for how the 10th doctor can live the life he never had while still keeping the show going. So 10's mind jumps into 10.2's body and 10.2's mind jumps into 10's body. Then 10 (in the human body) goes back to the parallel world to rose, which is why he is in the blue suit at the end. 10.2 goes on to regenerate into the next doctor.
