im in awe. You really have a good grasp of how to use the effects and such in a way that its not even noticable if you can't see you actually pressing the buttons. I have the same setup as you (only I have the limited editions) and it's my first setup. Mixing is so fun, but when I see movies like this I get mixed feelings cause I wanna be as good as this but I feel like I'm so far away :p

Brilliant video mate, you've got skills. I like the way you incorporate the echo with the Acapella, not seen that before...

For a ten minute mix I think you were excellent, the beat matching was almost perfect, only a tiny bit off in some parts but nothing major or even that noticable for that fact.

well, i have to admit that this is not the cheapest hobby but the price for the gear depends on the brand you want to buy though...

the easiest way to start is probably a pc-controller (several companies have one in their portfolio - vestax, numark, behringer, reloop, m-audio...) - if you get comfortable with djing you can invest in more advanced (and expensive) gear later... serach the internet for "dj-controller" and you will get numerous results :)

i use a "logitech quickcam pro for notebooks" and i mounted it on the wall (no prob because it is really small) ;-)

the sound was recorded seperately, to get stereo, because the webcam unfortunately only records poor mono quality sound.

i'm "finetuning" the track speed to match the beats as good as possible. it's also called "pitch bend" - speeding the tracks up or slowing them down a tiny bit if the beats are not matched as they should be... after turning the jog-wheel the speed goes back to the bpm which were adjusted with the pitch-fader previously.

Well, sorry to disappoint you, but it's a webcam... ;-) (logitech quickcam pro) it is not cheap, but does an awesome job for a webcam.

it natively supports up to 960x720 pixel, so unfortunately no real hd (only 4:3 aspect ratio)
