I can still remember the thrill of buying Oh Bondage as a 12" single, stuck it on an old record player at school at full volume, people came rushing in, 90% hated it but the half dozen who loved it I'm still friends with today. Definitely A record to sort the good guys from the sheep. Unfortunately when you see how popular Grease and Mama Mia are you know the sheep have won the day.....

I get really cheered to see comments from a 14 year old on here who actually get X Ray Spex. I turned 50 this year but was 17 when i first discovered this band on the Live at The Roxy Album in 1977. The witty& clever lyrics, wild vocals and unique sound made a huge impression and it still sounds great... so cool its up on here for new generations to enjoy. X Ray Spex yes.. X Factor rubbish NO!
