@basicmindset Ummm, no. The machine is doing most of the work. And don't tell me different, I repair these for a living so I KNOW what they can do. You can see clearly that it is impossible for her to play EVERY SINGLE part, so there is a great deal of automation and preparation involved.
How the hell can you you dispute the fact that she is doing the work. You can clearly see that her feet and hands are moving in sync to all the tracks. Is she just mving her arms a feet for the hell of it?
@jukingeo You are right, jukingeo. But I'll be she recorded all the parts at one time and put them together and added some live parts. I am not disputing that she did all the parts. She just didn't do them all LIVE . . .
This is just plain sick! I had to watch it a couple of times to see all that she was doing. Drum-kit on the left foot, effects set on the right. The 1st time I watched, I thought she was playing over a backing track. That's ALL her!
Update: This isn't a Roland, as I originally thought, but it is a variant to the Roland Atelier (basically it does the same thing). It is the Yamaha Electone StageA.
No it isn't. The organ is called an Atelier, which means 'artists workshop or workstation'. These organs and they basically marry the capabilities of today's studio workstation & stage keyboards with a fully faithful sound reproducing organ. Roland own Rodger's organs and the Atelier is the offspring. While it does take an accomplished musician to play at the level the girl is playing here...she is really showcasing what the instrument can do, as clearly the organ is doing most of the work.
Well, you've got to understand, Asian audiences tend to be quiet. That's how they show respect. Western audiences get loud to show respect. I guess it's just a cultural difference.
This girl is AWESOME! Calling the instrument an organ is stupid though. It is a lot more than just an organ. I don't understand the negative comments either. It also surprised me that she even knew who Kansas was.
This kid's pretty talented. But then so are most mutant japanese kids. Saw this video a few months ago on google. Wish I had the kind of discipline required to learn to perform at this level.
You're all wrong. Her left foot starts the entire program which is the drum machine and the keyboard sound-changes, which cause the keys to automatically change sounds as the song goes on. Her left foot plays the bass line and her right foot simulates a guitar string-stretch. She is not playing over any other music. It's a pretty sophisticated keyboard and used alot in Japan.
watch her play u moron. she is clearly playing everything. she is even controlling the pre recorded drum beat w/ her feet. don't be a little baby because a 12 year old Japanese girl makes you look like a worthless piece of crap.
the sad thing is most people don't allow playing on real organs anymore cause they have a judgemental view of it.
I saw an elderly gentleman really rock one :o it was amazing...but nobody really plays it anymore

This is cool but without the guitar and drum samples it would sound totally different.

Yeah. In some countries, when they eat at a restaurant, they leave some food on the plate when they're done, to show their appreciation of the meal.
Not sure where I heard that, though.
