  • how many of the soundmaster sirens were there all together. Before they replaced all the rest of them with 2001's

  • what rigs?.

  • Crap, just found out that my city has one.... But they silenced it due to noise complaints... how stupid.

  • it sounds like a Federal Signal 550-at siren in Calhan Co.

  • it sounds sorta like an ASC Cyclone :)

  • Enemy Artillery!

  • We have two of these left in my hometown of Columbia Heights. The rest were replaced with two 2001's back in 1995. idk if they'll replace the other two.

  • These sirens were prone to freezing up in cold weather. A few rigs were modified to try and solve the problem. I intend on rerecording this one sometime this year.

  • the wind-down is awesome.

  • sadly, this siren is gone :(((

  • I've heard it was put back up not too long ago, but I have yet to see it myself.

  • @JustInn014 really? :D ya, hopefully ill see it then nxt time i go to my uncles house, lives nearby and we pass it on the way

  • It sounds kinda like a 2T22!

  • I want to see a soundmaster with the cones on it. Nice video though!

  • hmmm it sounds sound like its trying to do pulsed or is that just your camera

  • @videogamer24385 It was trying to do pulse, but the solenoid vavle springs were too weak to keep the solenoids shut.

  • Will you get a video of the St. Peter T-Bolt?

  • @superjoe87 I tried recording it a couple weeks ago. It didn't go off.

  • when was it removed

  • Autumn of last year.

  • Whoa. I didn't realize I left a comment saying basically the same thing two months ago. Sorry for the double post!

  • Nice super Banshee.

  • no......thats not a SOUNDMASTER 115, its a super banshee.

  • No, it is a SoundMaster 115. I have a photo of a Banshee 115, though. It looks different.

This SoundMaster is not in place anymore.

  • ok your correct, but theres another vid where somd kid said that this siren IS a super banshee, for some reason.

  • wow that siren sounds similar to an ACA penetrator

  • Because it is 8/12 port. The ACA penetrator 50 has the same 8/12 port.

  • So does the Cyclone.

  • FYI, there is a sound master at MUFD 7 in Mount Union, PA

  • Awesome.

Can you get a video if it going off?

  • Type in MUFD 7 Ambulence responding.

In some of the vids you can hear it clearly and in one there are some brief shots of the siren. I live in MI and my truck is a 2500 Avalanch so because its a gas hog there's no way I can get that far.

  • Thank you. I will look for that video now.

Ah, I see. We have 3 other SoundMasters in Wisconsin. They are quite rare.

  • When I first saw it, I almost fell outta my chain. Atfirst it looked like one of those elusive Dual Fedelcode sirens.

  • Just found the video. It does look like a SoundMaster. Great find, btw.

Yeah, I heard about those Dual Fedelcodes. I never seen any of those, though. Seen a couple 5 HP single ones, though. They're huge.

  • It IS in fact a dual rotor Fedelcode. I've seen and heard it in person, and the picture on the siren archive is VERY misleading. It is about the same diameter as a model 5/7, and it is undoubtedly a Federal vertical design. It definitely isn't a soundmaster. But on the bright side, the siren is just as rare.

  • @JustInn014

The siren is actually a dual rotor Fedelcode. I've seen and heard it in person, and I am going to be recording it in the near future as soon as I have the time. I've been talking to a firefighter from MUFD and he has permission from the chief to set it off so I can record it whenever.

  • Thanks to this video I think in my video the black siren is a Soundmaster 115

  • there is?

  • turnsout it's a fedelecode Model 20

  • it kinda sounds like a p-50

  • Nice video. Sound awesome.

  • I was 30 ft. from the siren. It could've been 130dB, in truth, at that angle.

  • 8/12 PORT!

  • Yes, all dual toned SoundMasters were 8/12 port.

  • Is that a common ratio in ASC models? It really sounds like it, with the Cyclone and SD-10.

  • More of 9/12 port ratios on ASC models.

  • To keep it short and sweet, ASC's ratios are wonderful sounds.

  • 115dB from 100 feet away. Your radio is probably 130dB right at the speakers.

  • sounds like a 550AT

  • sounds like a ACA P-50

  • 8/12 port?

  • Yup.

  • sounds like an aca cyclone

  • i used a decibel meter to see how loud my car's exhaust is and at the redline (7000rpm) it is 115 dB (its aftermarket obviously)

  • Sonds like a T-135!

  • This siren is the master of sounds!!!!!!

  • lol

  • Looks like a model 2.

  • Yeah it does, now I know what siren is on the pole mounted by our towns 3t22

  • To me it sounds like a sentry siren

  • i thought these were electronic...

    cool siren.

  • Sounds very close to the 550 siren

  • That's exactly what I thought.

  • that does sound exactly like a P-50/T-135.

  • Agreed...and I'm living in a 550's shadow. sounds too much like a 550 though.

  • That sounds EXACTLY like a T-135/P-50.

  • kinda sounds like bagpipes

  • Excellent!

  • Dude that is kick ass! Good job on being the first ever to record a SoundMaster! I really love how the top damper seems to be trying to close off the air intake to the top 12-port rotor.

  • It is? I didn't notice that at all. However, these sirens do have a history of the solenoids failing.

  • Nice job Justin! Now we can see what a SOUNDMASTER sounds like. Great job buddy!

  • same

  • Simply amazing!

  • Awesome video, Justin! That SoundMaster 115 sounds just like a T-135/P-50!

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
